Lo-fi photo filter

Lo-fi is the charm of imperfect cameras: blacks that never get fully dark, warm color casts, grain, a leak of orange light from a cracked film door, or the wobbling lines of an old tape. It makes sharp phone photos feel like memories. Three presets cover the classic looks, and every part can be dialed up or down.

How to use it

Upload a photo — travel shots, friends and sunsets suit it best.
Pick 90s film, Instant camera or VHS tape.
Adjust Fade, Grain, Light leak, VHS lines, Warmth and Vignette, then download.

Fade is the heart of the look: it lifts the shadows so nothing is pure black.
Light leak works best on the side of the photo that already has light in it.
For a whole set, use the same preset so the photos look like one roll of film.

Yes. Use the VHS tape preset or raise VHS lines — it adds horizontal scanlines and a slight color bleed.
