What this panorama generator makes
It makes a full spherical image: everything you would see standing in one spot and turning all the way around, plus the sky above and the ground below. The result is a 2:1 equirectangular image, the format used by 360 cameras, VR headsets, game engines and virtual tours.
Start from one of the scene presets, write your own, or upload a photo and the AI builds the rest of the world around it. Each panorama is made with GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst, and the page blends the left and right edges in your browser so there is no visible seam when you turn around.
Equirectangular images and seams
An equirectangular image maps a sphere onto a rectangle twice as wide as it is tall. The horizon runs through the middle, the left and right edges are the same direction seen from both sides, and the top and bottom rows are stretched to cover the sky straight up and the ground straight down. That is why a panorama looks curved when you view it flat and natural inside a viewer.
Because the left and right edges meet behind you, any small jump in color shows up as a line. After every render the page measures that jump row by row and blends it away. You can switch the blend off to compare, and the downloaded file keeps whichever version you chose.
Use it as a skybox
The Skybox download renders six square faces from the panorama in your browser, named in the usual cube map order (px, nx, py, ny, pz, nz), and adds a single cross-layout image.
- Unity: create a material with the Skybox/6 Sided shader and drop in the front, back, left, right, up and down faces, or use the panorama with Skybox/Panoramic.
- Blender: plug the panorama PNG into an Environment Texture node in the World settings to light and surround your scene.
- three.js and web: load the six faces with CubeTextureLoader, or use the equirectangular PNG as scene.background with EquirectangularReflectionMapping.
- VR and virtual tours: most 360 players and tour builders take the 2:1 panorama directly.
Questions
Is this AI 360 panorama generator free?+
Looking around, blending the seam and downloading the panorama or skybox are free. Making a new panorama uses credits: 44 for High quality or 12 for Standard. The price is on the button before you start, and failed runs are refunded.
What format is the panorama?+
A 2:1 equirectangular PNG, about 2896 by 1440 pixels (or 5792 by 2896 at 4K size). It works in 360 viewers, VR headsets, Unity, Blender, three.js and most virtual tour tools.
Can I turn my own photo into a 360 panorama?+
Yes. Choose A photo, upload a wide landscape or room shot, and the AI keeps it as the front view while it imagines the rest of the surroundings, the sky and the ground. Photo panoramas cost 44 credits at High quality.
How do I get a skybox for my game?+
Press Skybox under the viewer. You get a ZIP with six square faces in cube map order (px, nx, py, ny, pz, nz) and a cross-layout image, made in your browser at no extra cost.
Will there be a seam where the edges meet?+
The model is asked for a wraparound image, and the page blends any remaining color step between the left and right edges in your browser. Switch Blend seam off to see the raw result.
Can I view it in VR or on my phone?+
Yes. On a phone you can drag, pinch, or turn on motion control and move the phone to look around. Download the panorama to use it in any VR player.
Can I use the panoramas commercially?+
Yes, the panoramas you make are yours to use, including in games, apps and client work, as long as what you describe doesn't copy someone else's protected work.
Can I make it bigger?+
Choose 4K size in More options, or press Upscale to 4K after a panorama is done (12 credits). The upscaler keeps the 2:1 shape.
