What Game Avatar does
Game Avatar turns one selfie into you as the hero of 12 kinds of video game: an 8-bit arcade sprite, a 16-bit RPG hero, a fighting game fighter, a racing driver, a voxel sandbox character, a photoreal AAA cutscene and more. Every picture keeps your face, hairstyle, hair colour, skin tone, beard and glasses. A real game interface (health bars, level, score, speedometer, achievement pop-up, hero card stats) is drawn on top by the app, so every word is spelled right and shows your player name.

Which selfie works best
✓ Works well
- Your face looking at the camera
- Soft, even light on your face
- Just you in the photo
- Glasses are fine and stay on
✕ Avoid
- Sunglasses or a face half in shadow
- Group photos
- Very blurry or tiny faces
- Heavy filters that change your face
Tips
- Pixel and voxel styles simplify your face on purpose: they keep your hair, skin tone and colours rather than every detail.
- If one hero doesn't look like you, open it and make it again, or switch to Another model under More options.
- Post the 3×4 grid and ask friends which one is you; the single heroes fit a profile picture.
- Tap Animate on any hero to turn it into a short game intro video.
Your face stays yours
We only ask the model to restyle you as a game character, never to change your face, body or age, and every hero is an adult in full outfit. Use a photo of yourself, or of someone who has said yes.
Price
- Standard · per hero
- 29 credits
- Another model · per hero
- 51 credits
You only pay for the heroes you make. Failed ones give their credits back. The HUD, the grid and downloads are free.
Game Avatar FAQ
How do I turn myself into a video game character?+
Upload one clear selfie, keep all 12 game styles picked (or choose your favourites) and tap Make. Each style is its own picture, made from your selfie, and they appear one by one in a 3×4 grid.
How much does it cost?+
29 credits per hero with the default model, so all 12 cost 348 credits. The other model costs 51 credits per hero. The button shows the total before you start.
Will it still look like me?+
Every picture is made from your selfie with an instruction to keep your face shape, features, hairstyle, hair colour, skin tone, beard and glasses. Realistic styles keep the most detail; pixel and voxel styles simplify on purpose.
Can I make an 8-bit or pixel art version of my photo?+
Yes. The 8-bit arcade style uses chunky pixels and a tiny palette, and the 16-bit RPG style gives you a detailed pixel fantasy hero. Pick just those two if that's all you want.
Is the text on the pictures made by AI?+
No. The health bars, level, score and pop-ups are drawn by the app on top of the picture, so the spelling is always right and your player name appears exactly as you typed it.
Can I download the grid?+
Yes. Download the 3×4 grid at 2048 px wide, or each hero on its own, with or without the HUD. Downloads are free.
Can I turn a hero into a video?+
Yes. Tap Animate on any hero to open the video generator with that picture as the first frame and a game-intro camera move already written.
Can I use a friend's photo?+
Only if they've said yes. Use a photo of yourself, or of someone who agreed. Real game names, logos and brands are not drawn.
