What is the vocal remover?
The vocal remover splits a recording into two tracks: the voice on its own and everything else. Use the instrumental for karaoke, covers and practice, or the vocals for remixes, lyrics and editing.
With one more click the instrumental becomes a karaoke video: the lyrics are taken from the vocal track, timed word by word and shown on screen as the music plays.

- Clean speech. Pull a voice out of background music in a vlog, interview or old recording.
Tips
- Studio recordings separate more cleanly than live recordings.
- Some reverb or backing vocals can stay in the instrumental; listen before you use it.
- Use the vocals track in the lyric video maker for the most accurate lyrics.
- Try the Night lights look for karaoke night and Pop for parties.
How the separation works
Vocal Isolator analyses the whole recording and writes two files of the same length: one with the vocals and one with everything else. Because both stems line up sample for sample, you can mix them back together, lower one of them or replace it. For the karaoke video, the lyrics are read from the isolated vocal track, which is far cleaner than the full mix, timed word by word and shown over the instrumental. You are charged for the length of the song only, and the video is built in your browser.
How many credits does it take?
Splitting costs about 72 credits per minute of audio on Vocal Isolator, about 252 credits for a 3½-minute song. A karaoke video adds about 7 credits to sync the lyrics; making and downloading the video is free.
