A birthday card generator and invitation maker in one
Card turns an everyday photo into a finished birthday card with your words printed on it: pick a party scene, one of four layouts and a greeting, and everyone keeps their own face. Invitation is the other half of a party: choose a ready-made template, type the name, date, time, place and RSVP, and your browser prints every detail exactly, so nothing is misspelled. Save either one as a 5×7 or 4×6 print file, or share it on your phone.

Pets
- Balloons, garden, dinosaurs, space, unicorn, black and gold, pool party and pets: every template leaves the middle open for your text.
- Name, age, date, time, place, RSVP and a short note are printed by your browser exactly as you type them, in any language, so a phone number or an address is never garbled.
- Add a photo of the guest of honor and it sits in a round frame at the top.
- Choose playful, elegant or classic lettering.
- Download 5×7 or 4×6 at 300 dpi for printing, or a phone-sized or square image for messages and social posts.
Four card layouts
The same photo and greeting look very different depending on the layout. You can change it any time before you make the card.

Full photoThe scene runs to every edge and the greeting sits in an open part of the picture, usually the top. Best for photos with a wall or sky above the people.

FramedYour photo sits in a cream paper border with balloons, confetti and ribbons, and the greeting goes on the border below. It looks most like a store-bought photo card.

VintageThe whole card is repainted as a 1950s gouache illustration with a festive border. Faces stay recognizable but soften into a painted look, lovely for grandparents.

MinimalThe photo fills the top two-thirds and a clean off-white band holds the greeting in serif type. The calmest option, and the easiest to read.

Which photos make the best cards
Good photos
- Faces clear and well lit, looking toward the camera
- Everyone you want on the card fully in the frame
- A little space around people so the greeting has room
- A pet facing the camera with its eyes visible
Photos to avoid
- Sunglasses, hats or hands hiding faces
- Dark, blurry or heavily filtered pictures
- Big groups where every face is tiny
- Screenshots with stickers or text already on them
Tips for a card and invite they'll love
- Check the spelling of names before you make the card; the greeting is printed exactly as typed.
- For milestone birthdays, pick 18th, 30th or 50th; the balloons show the number and your greeting can say the rest.
- Make 2 or 4 versions and keep the one where everyone looks best.
- Sending invites by phone? Choose the Phone size so the details stay large on screen.
- Print invitations on matte card stock at 5×7; they fit a standard A7 envelope.
