What is add music to video?
Instead of searching a stock library for a track that almost fits, this tool writes new music for your clip. The music model watches the video and follows its pace, energy and cuts in the genre and mood you choose.
You get two versions. Pick one, choose where the music starts, keep a bit of the original sound if you want, and download the finished video with the music mixed in and faded out at the end.
How to add music to a video
- Upload your videoAny clip up to 4 minutes: a vlog, a travel reel, a product shot, a game moment.
- Pick a genre and moodLeave vocals off for a clean background score, or turn them on for a song.
- Mix and downloadChoose a version, set the start point and the original-sound level, and download the video.
Why it beats a stock track
- Written for your clip. The music follows what happens on screen instead of ignoring it.
- Original music. Every track is new, so you are not reusing the same song as everyone else.
- Mixed for you. The music is trimmed to the length of your video and fades out at the end, and you decide how much original sound to keep.
- Two versions. Compare both against your video before you download.
Where it works best
- Travel and vlogs. Landscapes, city walks and day-in-the-life clips get a score that rises and settles with the footage.
- Product and brand clips. A short original track for an ad or a launch teaser, with no licensing search.
- Game and sports highlights. Energetic music that leans into the big moment of the clip.
- Short films and trailers. Cinematic underscore for a scene, an intro or an AI-generated film.
Tips
- Cinematic + Epic suits landscapes and trailers; Lo-fi + Chill suits vlogs and cooking.
- Use the start slider to begin on the strongest part of the track.
- Keep the original sound around 20–30% if people talk in the clip.
- Need sound effects instead of music? Try Sound effects for video.
How the soundtrack is written
The clip is sent to Suno v6 as a reference video. The model watches it and writes music that follows its pacing, while your genre and mood choices set the instrumentation and feel. Tracks often run longer than the clip, so the mix starts wherever you set it, is trimmed to the exact length of your video and fades out over the last second and a half. Your original audio stays on its own level, so you can keep dialogue or ambience under the new music. Everything after the music is written happens in your browser.
How many credits does it take?
Writing the music costs 72 credits on Suno v6 and gives you two versions. Mixing and downloading the video happens in your browser and costs nothing.
