Neon
What this tool does
This neon text generator traces your letters as glass tubes: a bright core, a colored tube and three layers of glow spreading into the dark. With Flicker on, one or two letters stutter off and on in a fixed rhythm while the rest hum gently, which loops cleanly as a GIF or video. Unlit tubes stay faintly visible, like a real sign.
How to make it
- Type a word, a name or a short slogan.
- Choose the tube color and font, then set Tube thickness and Glow.
- Download a PNG, or a flickering GIF, MP4 or WebM.
Tips
- Script looks like a bar sign; Tall reads like a cinema marquee.
- Keep the Effect background (deep purple) or a dark color; glow hardly shows on white.
- For a transparent PNG, Glow 4–6 gives a halo that still blends onto most photos.
Good for: Bar and café menus, birthday and wedding signs, stream overlays, synthwave thumbnails, night-time Reels.
Questions
How do I make neon text flicker?+
Turn Flicker on. One or two letters (two for longer words) switch off briefly at set moments, so the GIF or video loops without a jump.
Why does the glow look different on a transparent PNG?+
Glow is soft and partly transparent. On a dark design it looks like the preview; on a light one it fades. The GIF blends the glow onto the dark backdrop because GIF has only on/off transparency.
Can I pick any color?+
Yes. Use the six preset tube colors or the custom swatch for any color; the core is always mixed toward white so it looks lit.
