Model comparison
On the same rainy-street prompt, Seedance 2.0 read the brief more closely: dusk light, a close tracking shot with a laughing face, the baker waving and the canal at the end. Kling 3.0 delivered a crisp, wide, very stable shot of the street with strong architecture, but in flat overcast daylight rather than dusk, with her riding toward the camera and the baker staying put in the doorway. Kling 3.0 came back in under 90 seconds, Seedance 2.0 in about three minutes. Kling 3.0 is the pick for sharp 4K single shots, Motion Control and negative prompts; Seedance 2.0 for prompts with many beats, reference scenes with photos, clips and audio, and clip extension.
Seedance 2.0 is ByteDance's video model for text, image and reference-to-video and clip extension, 4 to 15 seconds from 480p to 4K, with sound. Kling 3.0 is Kuaishou's flagship single-shot model, 3 to 15 seconds up to 4K with optional sound, a negative prompt and Motion Control, which copies a performance from a reference clip onto your character.

Round one used identical 720p, five second settings with sound on both. Rounds two to four come from our earlier family test: Kling 3.0 at 720p and Seedance 2.0 at its 480p draft size, so judge their framing and motion there rather than sharpness.
A woman in her sixties with silver curly hair and a yellow raincoat cycles slowly along a wet cobblestone canal street at dusk. She rings her bicycle bell and laughs as a bearded man in a green apron waves from a bakery doorway. Smooth tracking shot from the side, warm shop lights reflecting on the wet stones, light drizzle, ambient sound of rain, the bell and distant chatter.
Seedance 2.0: warm dusk, a close tracking shot on her laughing face, the baker waving, the canal at the end. Kling 3.0: a wide, sharp, stable street shot in overcast daylight, the rider coming toward the camera, the baker standing in the doorway, no canal.
A summer rooftop party in Brooklyn at blue hour, string lights and the Manhattan skyline behind. A mixed group of friends in their late twenties and thirties dance and laugh: a woman with long braids spins under a man's arm, two men clink beer bottles, someone throws a handful of confetti. One continuous handheld shot weaving through the dancers, ending as the whole group raises their drinks and shouts together, "To summer!" Sound: upbeat funk music, chatter, laughter, bottles clinking.
Kling 3.0 played the brief as written, beat after beat, ending on the group shouting the toast, with the camera ducking between dancers. Seedance 2.0 treated the same lines more freely: a tilt skyward into falling confetti before dropping back to the friends. More fun to watch, less faithful, and softer at 480p.
A golden retriever puppy chases a giant wobbling orange jelly cube across a sunlit park lawn. The cube bounces, squashes on landing and splits into three smaller glossy cubes that scatter in different directions; the puppy skids to a stop, tilts its head and pounces on the nearest one. Low tracking camera at grass height, shallow depth of field, warm afternoon light. Sound: excited barks, squishy bounces, birdsong.
Neither got the three cubes right. Seedance 2.0 reshaped the jelly into ridged dessert-mould forms yet still closed on the puppy's pounce. Kling 3.0's jelly sprang around energetically and shattered into roughly twice the pieces requested. One wins on the ending, the other on bounce, so we call it even.
Slow dolly shot along a rainy evening flower market in a European town square. A woman in her sixties with short silver hair and a yellow raincoat wraps a bunch of sunflowers in brown paper at her stall; shoppers with umbrellas pass in the foreground and warm string lights reflect in the wet cobblestones. She looks up and offers the bouquet toward the camera with a smile. No text, no signs.
On a four second silent draft, Seedance 2.0 mirrored the hanging bulbs in every puddle on the cobbles and moved in toward the flowers. Kling 3.0 had the cleaner edges, but the scene looked like a grey midday and the camera hardly travelled.

For following a detailed prompt, Seedance 2.0 did better in our test. Kling 3.0 gave the cleaner, steadier image and was faster, and it has tools Seedance doesn't: Motion Control, a negative prompt and a guidance slider.
Kling 3.0 in our run: 86 seconds against 194 for a 5-second 720p clip, queue included.
Yes, when you switch Sound on; it's off by default. Seedance 2.0 makes sound by default.
Seedance 2.5 is the newer tier with takes up to 30 seconds and much bigger reference sets. Seedance 2.0 stops at 15 seconds but goes to 4K and costs less per second.
Both do 9:16 with sound. Kling 3.0 is quicker and sharper for a single striking shot; Seedance 2.0 is better when the clip has several story beats or needs a recurring character from reference photos, and it can extend past 15 seconds.
On Kling 3.0, yes: write them in the negative prompt (for example “text, logos, extra people”). Seedance 2.0 has no negative prompt, so describe what you want instead of what you don't.
Yes, on both. Upload a first frame and, if you like, a last frame, then describe only the motion and the camera; the look and wardrobe come from your pictures.
Kling 3.0. A wide, stable, sharp frame of a street, a landscape or a building is exactly what it did best in our test, and it can render that shot in 4K. Use Seedance 2.0 when people and their expressions are the point of the shot.
At the settings above, one run costs 114 credits on Seedance 2.0 and 76 credits on Kling 3.0. That's the price shown on the Generate button before you start.
Yes. One PopNow account and one credit balance work with both, and you can switch between them in the studio without retyping your prompt.
