A virtual pet is a small character that lives on your screen and reacts to what you do. Poppie is PopNow's take on it: a jelly-soft bubble with uneven eyes and an orange blush on its right cheek, made from the same hand-checked animations you see all over the site.

Most AI videos take a minute or two to finish, and that is exactly when Poppie is useful. Start a video, go and do something else, and Poppie lets you know when it is done, even if you have moved to another page. The rest of the time it stays quiet, blinks, looks around and dozes off.

What Poppie does

Switch on the companion in My Buddy and Poppie waits in the corner of each page. Here is what it does, with the lines it really says.

  • Keeps an eye on your creations

    Start an image, a video or a song and move on. Poppie checks on it in the background and pops up when it is ready, with a button to open it.

  • Cheers, comforts, then stays quiet

    It celebrates finished work and offers another go when something fails. Otherwise it speaks rarely: a few tips at most, and never while something is running.

  • Shows up all over PopNow

    Every Poppie on the site switches to your color, finish and outfit, from the image generator to your Assets and the credits window.

  • Steps aside when needed

    If another Poppie is already on screen, yours slides out of the way, so you never get a crowd. It also follows your device's reduce motion setting.

Get your Poppie in three steps

  1. Open My Buddy

    Press Make my Poppie on this page. Later you can open My Buddy from your account menu, or tap Poppie and choose Customize.

  2. Dress it up

    Choose a color and a finish, add a hat, glasses, neckwear and a sidekick, then give it a name and a personality.

  3. Keep it with you

    Switch on the companion and Poppie waits in the corner of every page, ready to cheer on your next creation. Press Save and you're done.

Virtual pet FAQ

Is the Poppie virtual pet free?

Yes. Making, dressing up and keeping Poppie costs nothing, and the sticker pack is free to download. You only spend credits when you generate images, video or sound on PopNow, and new accounts get 30 free credits for that.

Do I need an account?

No. You can make your Poppie and download stickers without signing in. Once you sign in and start creating, a Poppie with the companion switched on also keeps an eye on the images, videos and songs you make.

Where is my Poppie saved?

In this browser, on this device. It doesn't sync to your account or other devices yet, and clearing this site's data brings back the default Poppie.

Will Poppie get in the way?

No. The companion stays off until you switch it on. It only speaks when something you made is ready, fails or is stopped, plus a few tips, and you can hide it for this tab or turn it off from its menu.

What does the personality change?

How Poppie moves while it waits and how it reacts when you tap it. Playful does a bit of everything, Cheerful bounces and celebrates, Chill blinks slowly and Shy blushes when you poke it.

Can I use the stickers anywhere?

Use them in your chats, posts and personal projects for fun. Please don't sell them, print them on merchandise or use Poppie as your own logo.
