The words SOFT ECHO rendered as simulated raised lettering on pink paper

Real glyph masks create a smoothed bevel heightfield. Finite differences produce surface normals, which are shaded under the selected light direction; the package also exports the original glyph outlines independently of the raster relief. Font layout, relief and shading run locally without generation. Keep the supplied font license with shared outputs; an owned replacement font must permit the intended use and redistribution.

v1.0.0 · Updated Oct 25, 2026 · 1.7 MB · Use it for personal and client work; please don't resell or share the package.

What you get

  1. Shaded relief PNG with raster-wrapped SVG

  2. Separate editable glyph-outlines.svg

  3. Height and normal-map proofs, copied font and portable brief

Good for

  • Tactile-looking typographic artwork
  • Comparing raised and recessed letter treatments

Not for

  • A press-certified separation or physical ink prediction
  • Text rendered by a generative model

How it works

Includes a local renderer

  1. Choose the input

Enter short lines using a font that covers every character.

  2. Render and inspect

Build the heightfield and inspect the light and normal-map proof.

  3. Adjust and export

Adjust depth or lighting, then keep the shaded image and separate outlines.

How the workflow runs

How Embossed letterpress poster works

Real glyph masks create a smoothed bevel heightfield. Finite differences produce surface normals, which are shaded under the selected light direction; the package also exports the original glyph outlines independently of the raster relief.

What's inside the skill

What you can change

  • text_lines: 1–4 lines with a covering TrueType font
  • relief_depth: −14–14, excluding zero
  • light_angle: 0–360 degrees and bevel: 1–12
  • paper color and output dimensions

What to review before delivery

  • The font must contain every requested character.
  • Every requested line appears in the recorded layout.
  • The saved brief reproduces the PNG and SVG; unsafe replacement is rejected.

Why use this skill

Start with this package

The workflow supplies font coverage checks, fitting, relief construction and separate outline export. The lettering is real typography with reproducible lighting, rather than image-model text.

Compare the options

A prompt, your own skill, or this workflow?

Start with a prompt

Your agent can create from a plain request. The brief, visual rules, asset choices, output format and review process still need to be established for that project.

Write your own skill

You choose and maintain the reusable instructions, defaults, file structure and checks. This is useful when your process needs different rules or integrations.

A workflow created for PopNow

This workflow was built for PopNow. Its source files, included dependencies and applicable notices are part of the package; the scope described below belongs to this edition.

What will this cost?

Font layout, relief and shading run locally without generation. Keep the supplied font license with shared outputs; an owned replacement font must permit the intended use and redistribution.

The supplied route runs locally. A new-media request is a separate choice. Free skill. New media is quoted before it runs.

The skill package

Free to install under your account's download allowance. The package license covers your own and client work; redistribution is excluded.

Existing assets and local work

Reusing suitable assets, editing files and running local assembly do not call a PopNow generation model. Your computer and any required runtime still do the work.

Your agent and hosting

Any subscription, hosted computer, deployment or other provider fee belongs to that service. Installing this skill does not include those services.

How PopNow billing works

Connections using a PopNow API key, including API-key MCP connections, spend from the separate API balance in USD. A ChatGPT or Claude connection authorized through OAuth spends website credits. These balances are separate; the quote shown by your connection is the approval basis.

Download allowances and current account conditions apply. A free package does not mean unlimited free generation.

How to use it

You say

  • Use the PopNow skill "Embossed letterpress poster" (embossed-letterpress-poster) for this: Enter short lines using a font that covers every character. Use the packaged example as a starting point and return the actual artwork with its editable inputs.

Then try

  • Rebuild a visibly different version using relief_depth: 11 → −7; light_angle: 230 → 210.

  • Explain the result using its actual proof files and algorithm ledger.

What to have ready

  • Your short text and a licensed TrueType font, or the bundled font
  • A relief and lighting direction
  • Python 3.10+, Pillow and NumPy

Questions

Is the lettering editable?

Yes. Text is set with an actual font. The main shaded poster is raster, while glyph-outlines.svg contains the separate vector letter outlines. Missing characters are rejected instead of silently drawing replacement boxes.

Can I make recessed letters?

Use a negative relief_depth for recessed geometry and a positive value for raised geometry. Light angle and bevel width affect the local shading. These screen reliefs do not certify a physical press result.

What costs depend on this workflow?

Font layout, relief and shading run locally without generation. Keep the supplied font license with shared outputs; an owned replacement font must permit the intended use and redistribution.

What is already packaged in Embossed letterpress poster?

The domain algorithm and invariant checks. Runnable, editable example parameters. Control meanings, proof interpretation and limits.

Which parts of Embossed letterpress poster can add a charge?

Font layout, relief and shading run locally without generation. Keep the supplied font license with shared outputs; an owned replacement font must permit the intended use and redistribution. Connections using a PopNow API key, including API-key MCP connections, spend from the separate API balance in USD. A ChatGPT or Claude connection authorized through OAuth spends website credits. These balances are separate; the quote shown by your connection is the approval basis.

How does Embossed letterpress poster differ from writing a prompt or my own skill?

The workflow supplies font coverage checks, fitting, relief construction and separate outline export. The lettering is real typography with reproducible lighting, rather than image-model text.
