Create slowly traveling optical waves from two finely drawn, independently warped stripe fields. Two close-angle stripe fields overlap in warm paper, blue ink and copper. Their relative phase produces large interference bands from small line movements; no photograph or generated video is needed. PopNow can supply missing artwork, footage or sound after a quote; owned material and the local example work without a connection.

What you get

  1. An 8-second 1280 × 720 H.264 MP4 made by the local algorithm

  2. Two close-angle stripe fields overlap in warm paper, blue ink and copper. Their relative phase produces large interference bands from small line movements; no photograph or generated video is needed.

  3. Editable JSON, a six-frame contact sheet and a receipt with actual checks

Good for

  • Optical art, print-inspired motion studies and ambient visual loops
  • Original creative work using owned or licensed material

Not for

  • Rapid strobe effects or a claim to simulate a physical display
  • Publishing without watching the rendered result

How to use it

You say

  • Use the PopNow skill "Moiré Wave Motion" (moire-wave-motion) for this: Create slowly traveling optical waves from two finely drawn, independently warped stripe fields. Use the bundled project, render the example and inspect the full result before delivery.

Then try

  • Change angleDegrees from 3.2 to 6.0 and compare the beat pattern.

  • Use my licensed music; keep source audio discarded.

What to have ready

  • A preferred ink palette and comfortable viewing speed; no image input is required.
  • Python 3.10+, FFmpeg/ffprobe, Pillow and NumPy

Questions

Where do the large waves come from?

They emerge from interference between two independently warped line fields. The renderer records frequency, angle and line spacing.

Can a line pattern alias?

Yes. Fine patterns depend on display size and compression. The example uses deliberate spacing and slow movement; inspect the actual export at its intended size.

Does the local render spend generation funds?

No. It reads local media and renders locally. Missing media can be made through PopNow after an exact quote and approval; no paid call occurs in the renderer.
