Questions

Why is the first act completely silent?

The silence is the setup. Eight seconds of an object that should make a noise and does not is what makes the replay with sound land. The skill checks the final file so nothing leaks into those seconds.

Are the replays really the same shot?

Yes. One function builds the shot and each showing plays a window of it over the same elements, so the frames match pixel for pixel; the QA step compares them.

Will it work on a feed that autoplays muted?

Only with the optional level meter on. It stays flat through the silent act and shows where each sound lands, so a muted viewer still gets the idea.

What does PopNow make here?

The press, typing and closing sounds, generated from clips of the silent picture so they land on the action, and an original music bed. Each is quoted before anything is spent; without a key an FFmpeg script makes the effects.
