Computed Mandelbrot detail with spirals in blue, cream and coral

The renderer iterates the Mandelbrot equation at each pixel and colors escape times continuously. The local HTML explorer recalculates the chosen coordinates when you center or zoom; its saved brief feeds the same Python renderer for a larger output. This workflow computes its images locally and makes no generation calls. Image dimensions and iteration count determine local processing work; interactive browser previews use a smaller pixel grid.

What you get

  1. Fractal PNG with an SVG raster wrapper

  2. Interactive local zoom explorer and current-view PNG export

  3. Camera brief and escape-time proof

Good for

  • Fractal art exploration and prints
  • Revisiting and sharing exact mathematical viewpoints

Not for

  • Infinite zoom or unlimited numeric precision
  • A video renderer or proof that unresolved pixels belong to the set

How it works

Includes a local renderer

  1. Choose the input

Start from the included view or choose another center.

  2. Render and inspect

Click to center and use the zoom buttons to recompute the scene.

  3. Adjust and export

Save the current view or export its brief for a larger local render.

How the workflow runs

How Fractal zoom art works

The renderer iterates the Mandelbrot equation at each pixel and colors escape times continuously. The local HTML explorer recalculates the chosen coordinates when you center or zoom; its saved brief feeds the same Python renderer for a larger output.

What's inside the skill

What you can change

  • center_x and center_y within −2 to 2
  • zoom: 0.4–1,000,000 with a finite-precision limit
  • iterations: 80–1800
  • five-color palette and color_cycles

What to review before delivery

  • Escaped and unresolved pixel counts sum to the full canvas.
  • A changed center and 90× zoom produces different pixels.
  • The saved brief reproduces the PNG and SVG; unsafe replacement is rejected.

Why use this skill

Start with this package

The coordinates, iteration engine, palette mapping and export controls are already connected. You receive a repeatable mathematical view, rather than a generated image merely described as fractal.

A prompt, your own skill, or this workflow?

Start with a prompt

Your agent can create from a plain request. The brief, visual rules, asset choices, output format and review process still need to be established for that project.

Write your own skill

You choose and maintain the reusable instructions, defaults, file structure and checks. This is useful when your process needs different rules or integrations.

A workflow created for PopNow

This workflow was built for PopNow. Its source files, included dependencies and applicable notices are part of the package; the scope described below belongs to this edition.

What will this cost?

This workflow computes its images locally and makes no generation calls. Image dimensions and iteration count determine local processing work; interactive browser previews use a smaller pixel grid.

The supplied route runs locally. A new-media request is a separate choice. Free skill. New media is quoted before it runs.

The skill package

Free to install under your account's download allowance. The package license covers your own and client work; redistribution is excluded.

Existing assets and local work

Reusing suitable assets, editing files and running local assembly do not call a PopNow generation model. Your computer and any required runtime still do the work.

Your agent and hosting

Any subscription, hosted computer, deployment or other provider fee belongs to that service. Installing this skill does not include those services.

How PopNow billing works

Connections using a PopNow API key, including API-key MCP connections, spend from the separate API balance in USD. A ChatGPT or Claude connection authorized through OAuth spends website credits. These balances are separate; the quote shown by your connection is the approval basis.

Download allowances and current account conditions apply. A free package does not mean unlimited free generation.

How to use it

You say

  • Use the PopNow skill "Fractal zoom art" (fractal-zoom-art) for this: Start from the included view or choose another center. Use the packaged example as a starting point and return the actual artwork with its editable inputs.

Then try

  • Rebuild a visibly different version using zoom: 220 → 90; center_x: −0.7435 → −0.747.

  • Explain the result using its actual proof files and algorithm ledger.

What to have ready

  • A chosen location or the included default view
  • Python 3.10+, Pillow and NumPy
  • A browser for interactive exploration

Questions

Does zoom reveal newly computed detail?

Yes. Each view recomputes the equation at its own coordinates. The browser uses a smaller preview grid; save the current brief and run the Python renderer for the requested output dimensions.

What does the iteration limit mean?

Pixels that have not escaped by the chosen limit remain unresolved. A higher limit can reveal finer boundaries but takes more local work. Zoom is capped at one million to avoid promising precision the implementation does not provide.

What costs depend on this workflow?

This workflow computes its images locally and makes no generation calls. Image dimensions and iteration count determine local processing work; interactive browser previews use a smaller pixel grid.

What is already packaged in Fractal zoom art?

The domain algorithm and invariant checks. Runnable, editable example parameters. Control meanings, proof interpretation and limits.

Which parts of Fractal zoom art can add a charge?

This workflow computes its images locally and makes no generation calls. Image dimensions and iteration count determine local processing work; interactive browser previews use a smaller pixel grid. Connections using a PopNow API key, including API-key MCP connections, spend from the separate API balance in USD. A ChatGPT or Claude connection authorized through OAuth spends website credits. These balances are separate; the quote shown by your connection is the approval basis.

How does Fractal zoom art differ from writing a prompt or my own skill?

The coordinates, iteration engine, palette mapping and export controls are already connected. You receive a repeatable mathematical view, rather than a generated image merely described as fractal.
