Vinyl Record Microsite: actual desktop example

An original cover image becomes a large physical-looking sleeve beside a vinyl disc. Side selection loads a real audio sample; the disc turns only while that sample is playing, with accessible transport controls and no autoplay. When new artwork is needed, PopNow can create it after a quote; the bundled example also works offline.

How to use it

You say

  • Use the PopNow skill "Vinyl Record Microsite" (vinyl-record-microsite) for this: Create a two-sided record microsite for an imaginary ambient release, with cover art, samples and liner notes.

Then try

  • Use my own photographs and keep the captions factual.

  • Check the narrow-screen view and reduce decorative motion.

What to have ready

  • Cover artwork you may publish
  • Your cleared audio files or the bundled original demo tones
  • Track names and honest release notes

Questions

What makes this different from a generic template?

Playback is the interaction contract: a decorative animation must never pretend audio is playing. The sample creates its own WAV files locally; a real release should use cleared recordings.

Can I run the example without generating new images?

Yes. The package contains real, rights-cleared demonstration images and a runnable example. Replace them with your own material or ask for a quote for new PopNow assets.

What can I edit?

Edit the local brief, photographs and page styles, then rebuild the offline HTML. The finished example keeps its controls and media local.

Does this publish anything automatically?

No. Building and checking happen locally. Review the copy, image rights and any personal details before uploading the final files to a host you choose.
