How to use it

In Claude or ChatGPT

Use the PopNow skill "Research Paper Website" (research-paper-website) for this: Build the project page for our paper in paper/main.pdf. Figure 1 should be the latency vs. accuracy trade-off from results/fig1.csv. Code is on our lab's git server, data on a public archive.

In a coding agent

/popnow-research-paper-website Build the project page for our paper in paper/main.pdf. Figure 1 should be the latency vs. accuracy trade-off from results/fig1.csv. Code is on our lab's git server, data on a public archive.

Then try

Quote upscaling the two bench photos from the PDF and making a share card with the title.

Add a plain-language abstract tab; I'll approve the wording before it goes live.

What to have ready

  • The complete paper with venue, pages, DOI and version
  • Figures and photos you may publish, and the numbers behind the main charts
  • Links to code, data and a contact email
  • Optional: a PopNow API key for image preparation

Questions

Will it change or simplify our results?

No. Every number on the page goes into a ledger with its location in the paper, derived phrases are recomputed from it, and limitations are copied from the paper. Missing facts are listed for you instead of filled in.

Does PopNow generate figures or data?

Never. Figures are drawn as SVG from your data. PopNow only prepares your own images (upscaling, removing clutter from context photos, widening a banner) and makes an optional share card, and any illustration is captioned as one.

Can I host it on GitHub Pages?

Yes. The build produces one static index.html with fonts and images embedded, so it works on GitHub Pages, a university web space or any static host.

My paper is a theory or user-study paper. Does the layout still fit?

Yes. The skill maps sections by paper type: theory papers drop the field setting and lead with the main result, user studies show conditions instead of sites and keep participants out of photos.

Can it grow into a research lab website template?

Yes. Start with one paper page, then add people, publications and news pages built from the same parts, so it also works as an academic website template for a research group or lab.
