An actual local PCM spectrum with frequency and signal-level readouts — working example

Inspect a local recording with a real frequency spectrum, peak readout and playback controls. An offline spectrum workbench, accessible peak and RMS readouts, a test-tone fixture and explicit play/pause controls. PopNow can add optional media after a quote; the core workflow runs locally.

What you get

  1. An offline spectrum workbench, accessible peak and RMS readouts, a test-tone fixture and explicit play/pause controls.

  2. A validated local data model and self-contained HTML builder

  3. Representative data, editable source and meaningful regression checks

  4. Optional PopNow media with approval before generation

Good for

  • Create a local audio inspection page that shows the dominant frequencies of my recording, with no uploads.
  • Teams that need an editable local artifact with traceable inputs

Not for

  • Not a mastering meter or medical hearing test; short windows trade frequency resolution for responsiveness.
  • A hosted backend or synchronized multi-user service

How to use it

You say

  • Use the PopNow skill "Audio Spectrum Visualizer" (audio-spectrum-visualizer) for this: Create a local audio inspection page that shows the dominant frequencies of my recording, with no uploads.

Then try

  • Apply our actual data and explain any rejected fields.

  • Adapt the layout to our brand and quote optional PopNow media first.

What to have ready

  • A user-selected audio file supported by the browser, or JSON {sampleRate, samples} with 32–2048 normalized PCM samples.
  • Your final audience, labels and publication destination
  • Owned assets and verified claims for any public version

Questions

What input does this workflow need?

A user-selected audio file supported by the browser, or JSON {sampleRate, samples} with 32–2048 normalized PCM samples.

What does it calculate or validate?

Compute a Hann-windowed discrete Fourier transform for a reproducible snapshot. For playback, decode only the chosen local file and read actual Web Audio frequency bins. Calculate RMS and frequency resolution.

What is outside its scope?

Not a mastering meter or medical hearing test; short windows trade frequency resolution for responsiveness.

Can I use it without an API key?

Yes. The local template, validation and exports work without a key. PopNow media is optional and requires a quoted, approved API USD budget.
