To cancel a Higgsfield subscription, open Manage Account, go to Subscription, scroll to Plan Settings and choose Manage Subscription, then Show, then Cancel Subscription. Cancelling only turns off auto-renewal: the plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and Higgsfield does not refund the rest of that period. A refund is a separate request, and it is only possible within seven days of a first purchase or a credit pack purchase, with no credits from it used.

We read Higgsfield's Terms of Use (last updated October 23, 2026) and its help center articles on cancelling, refunds and credits on November 4, 2026. Policies change, so check the current wording in your own account before you act on any detail below.

How do you cancel a Higgsfield subscription?

Higgsfield lets individual subscribers cancel without contacting anyone. The help center gives this path:

  1. Open your account menu from your avatar and choose Manage Account.
  2. Open Subscription and scroll down to Plan Settings.
  3. Select Manage Subscription, then Show, then Cancel Subscription, and confirm.
  4. Check that the plan now shows an end date instead of a renewal date.

Team, Scale and Enterprise workspaces work differently: the workspace Owner cancels from the Organization settings, so a regular member cannot end the team plan alone. Higgsfield's Terms also allow cancelling by contacting support, but an email request has to come from the email address on the account, and requests from third parties are not accepted.

Cancel a few days before the renewal date rather than on the day itself. The Terms say the subscription renews automatically at the then-current price unless you opt out, and a renewal charge is not refundable once it goes through.

What happens after you cancel Higgsfield?

The subscription keeps working until the end of the current paid period. After that, the account moves to the free tier and no further charges are made. Cancelling does not delete your account or your generations, although Higgsfield says older content from inactive accounts may be moved to cold storage.

What happens to credits depends on where they came from:

  • Subscription credits stay usable until the end of the paid period, then expire permanently.
  • Credit Pack, Auto-Refill, promo and Boost credits stay in the account on the free plan. You can spend them on the models the free plan includes until each batch reaches its own expiry date.
  • Auto-Refill stops triggering once the subscription ends.
  • Unlimited access you bought for a set period stops working when the subscription ends, even if that period has not finished. It works again if you resubscribe before it expires.

Cancelling a subscription is not the same as deleting the account. Higgsfield's Terms say unused credits expire when the account itself is cancelled, so only delete the account once you have nothing left to spend.

Can you get a refund from Higgsfield?

Sometimes, but the window is narrow. Section 9.3 of Higgsfield's Terms allows a refund request within seven days of your initial purchase, or longer where local law requires it, provided no credits have been used. The help center adds the practical details:

  • Renewals, meaning any automatic or manual charge after the first billing cycle, are not eligible.
  • Credit packs and Auto-Refill charges follow the same rule: within seven days, and no credits from that purchase used.
  • Offers that unlock access or features rather than credits are not refundable once the access is granted.
  • A service fee of up to 6% is deducted from the refund.
  • If the refund is approved, the subscription is cancelled immediately.

"Used" is measured by credits, not by whether you logged in. Free generations and Unlimited-model generations do not count as credit usage, so trying those does not remove your eligibility. A mid-term upgrade can sometimes be refunded within seven days if no credits from the upgraded plan were used, and then only the upgrade difference comes back.

To ask, contact Higgsfield support through its contact page with the account email, the purchase date, the amount charged and a short reason. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days. If you live in the EEA or the UK, the Terms also describe a 14-day right of withdrawal, with the caveat that it no longer covers credits once they have started to be supplied to you.

Do Higgsfield credits roll over or expire?

No credit type on Higgsfield lasts forever. This is how the help center and Terms describe each one:

Credit typeRolls over?Expires
Subscription creditsNoAt each renewal; annual plans reset every 30 days
Credit Pack creditsNot applicable90 days after purchase
Auto-Refill creditsNot applicable90 days after purchase
Promo creditsNoOn the date shown when they were added

Subscription credits are spent first. After that, the balance that expires soonest is used first; for example, promo credits that expire before your pack credits are spent before them. If you plan to cancel, spending subscription credits before the period ends is the only way to get value from them.

Are credits returned when a Higgsfield generation fails?

Usually. The help center says the refund for a failed generation is normally automatic and arrives within a few minutes, but it also says some specific models might not refund credits for failed generations. Credits for generations blocked by content moderation are returned automatically for most models; for a false positive, support can return the credits, but it cannot reverse the classifier's decision.

A generation that finishes but does not look the way you wanted is a different case. Neither the Terms nor the help center describe a refund for a completed result you are unhappy with, so check the credit usage history after each run and contact support with the generation time and model if something looks wrong.

What should you check before you cancel?

  1. Note the renewal date shown in Manage Account and cancel a few days before it.
  2. Spend subscription credits you still want to use; they disappear at the end of the period.
  3. Note when each credit pack was bought, since pack credits last 90 days on the free plan.
  4. Download the generations you want to keep.
  5. If you are inside the seven-day window with no credits used, request the refund first, because an approved refund cancels the plan anyway.
  6. Keep the receipt email; the refund request asks for the date and the amount.

How does PopNow handle the same questions?

PopNow takes a different approach to the things that make cancelling stressful. There is no subscription: credits come in one-time packs, nothing renews, and credits you buy never expire, so there is nothing to cancel and no renewal date to watch. Every run on PopNow is also covered by PopNow Protect:

  • Failed? Full refund. If a run fails or returns nothing, the credits go back automatically.
  • Wrong size or length? Full refund. If the result does not match the settings you chose, such as the aspect ratio, duration or number of images, our team reviews it and refunds the run within one business day.
  • Too slow? 20% back. Models with enough history show a guaranteed time before you submit; if a run takes longer, 20% of what you paid comes back automatically as bonus credits.
  • Cheaper elsewhere? 2× the difference back. Send the competitor's price page and an archived link of it, and once we have reviewed the claim we pay back twice the difference. A screenshot alone is not enough.

Bonus credits from Protect last 90 days and are subject to a monthly limit; the full conditions are on the Protect page. Unused credits from a pack bought on the website can also be refunded within 30 days after a review; see the refund policy for how the amount is worked out.
