How to use it

In Claude or ChatGPT

Use the PopNow skill "Fantasy Map Generator" (fantasy-map-generator) for this: A parchment map of my campaign continent from this sketch, with the capital, three towns, the mountain range and a faint hex grid.

In a coding agent

/popnow-fantasy-map-generator A parchment map of my campaign continent from this sketch, with the capital, three towns, the mountain range and a faint hex grid.

Then try

Now a top-down battle map of the roadside inn with a 64 px square grid and a game master key.

Make a region map of the northern coast in the same style.

What to have ready

  • Optional: your sketch of the coast or floor plan
  • A PopNow API key (the lettered sketch map works without one)

Questions

Will my invented place names be spelled correctly?

Yes. The painted map contains no lettering; every name is set afterwards from your list, along rivers, coasts and ranges, and can be fixed for free.

Can I use it for tabletop battle maps?

Yes. Encounter maps start from a floor plan on the grid, and the square grid is drawn exactly on top at the size you choose, so it lines up with walls and with virtual tabletop settings.

Can it draw a map from my rough sketch?

Yes. Your sketch, or the editable template, fixes the coastline and features, and all three looks keep that geography.

What does a map cost?

Three PopNow image tasks, quoted together before anything runs; lite mode makes one. Lettering, grids and exports are free.
