Trae skills
Install PopNow skills in Trae. Download a skill, unzip it into the skills folder, and call it by name in your next chat.

.trae/skills - How to call a skill
Mention the skill by name, or just describe the job and let Trae pick it.
popnow-<skill> - Connect PopNow
Skills are free. To generate images, video or sound, set your PopNow API key in POPNOW_API_KEY. Calls using this key draw from your separate API balance in USD. Each paid generation is quoted first and waits for your approval.
POPNOW_API_KEY
- 1Copy the install prompt
Paste it into Trae. It downloads the skill with your API key and unzips it into the right folder.
- 2Ask for the result
Call the skill and say what you need in plain words: the topic, the audience, the length.
- 3Review and refine
Open the file it made, ask for changes in the chat, and ship when it looks right.

Build a coherent store introduction with Trae
Select the store format before creating artwork
A Trae design assignment can start with a bounded storefront concept and the product material it is allowed to use. Sneaker Store Website and Jewelry Store Website Template are catalog directions for different kinds of product presentation. Ecommerce Product Photos is a complementary image workflow when the store needs product imagery. Compare the samples against the actual merchandise rather than treating their styling as interchangeable. A store page should help a visitor understand the product and navigate the proposed experience; attractive generated scenes should not replace accurate descriptions of what is being offered.
Give Trae its own installation folder
The recorded personal location is ~/.trae/skills, and the project location is .trae/skills. Extract the selected package so its popnow-prefixed folder contains SKILL.md and the resources that came with it. Name the skill plainly in the task request. Qoder's locations are ~/.qoder/skills and .qoder/skills, so a workflow that was installed for Qoder should be checked before you assume Trae can find it. First confirm placement and package structure; only then investigate whether a missing dependency or unclear product brief is affecting the result.
Review the merchandise story end to end
For a first Trae store brief, provide a small product selection, approved labels, owned photographs and the intended visitor action. Ask for a content outline before expanding the visual design. Review product names and navigation together, and distinguish a design artifact from the commerce systems it would eventually connect to. If optional generated photography is used, approve the proposed direction and quote first, then compare the imagery with the real item so material details are represented honestly. A successful local preview is a useful review point; it does not remove the need to check destinations, sample content and integration requirements before publication.
Three ways to install
- Ask your agent
Copy a skill's install prompt into your agent. It reads the install guide, downloads the package with your key and unzips it into the right folder.
https://popnow.ai/api/skills/install.md - Use the CLI
popnow skills finds and installs skills from your terminal.
npm install -g @popnow/cli && popnow skills - Over MCP
With the developer MCP connected, ask for a style: find_skills suggests packages and install_skill hands over the playbook and the install commands.
find_skills → install_skill - Generation uses your API key
Skills are free. The images, video, music and voice they make through PopNow are charged in USD to the API balance behind POPNOW_API_KEY, after a quote you approve.
POPNOW_API_KEY
Install guides by agent
Same skills everywhere; only the folder changes.
Frequently asked questions
How do I install a Trae store-design workflow?
Choose the project .trae/skills location or the personal ~/.trae/skills location shown here. Preserve the whole package and its SKILL.md. Use the plain popnow-prefixed skill name in your request, followed by the store brief and the product assets you want the assistant to use.
Should I choose the sneaker or jewelry website template?
Inspect how each example presents products and organizes the page. Sneaker Store Website and Jewelry Store Website Template are different visual starting points. Choose the one whose structure fits the merchandise, then adapt approved content rather than mixing unrelated sample sections simply to add volume.
Can generated product photos replace a product specification?
No. Ecommerce Product Photos can contribute visual material, but the store still needs accurate descriptions supplied by you. Review generated details against the real product and use authorized references. The image should help communicate the item without creating unsupported expectations about its materials or construction.
What should I check before treating the storefront as finished?
Check navigation, product labels, narrow layouts and leftover examples. Identify which actions are design demonstrations and which need application integration. Ask Trae for a handoff that states those boundaries so the team reviewing the page does not mistake a polished artifact for an operational store.
