About PixVerse V6
pixverse/v6/video-extend takes video_url, the clip to continue, and a prompt for what happens next. The response is one file: your source followed by duration_seconds of new footage.
Call it with the model name pixverse/v6/video-extend on POST /jobs/createTask, from $0.111.
Introduction
PixVerse V6 Video extend continues a clip you already have. Send the clip and a prompt for what happens next, and choose how many new seconds to add, from 1 to 15. You get back one file with your clip followed by the new seconds. We tested extend with a PixVerse V6 clip.

Key features
One file, source plus new seconds
In our test a 5-second source plus 5 new seconds came back as a single 10.1 second file at 540p.
The setting carries on, details can drift
We extended a cliff-road clip. The new part continued the scene, with the same coastal road, sea and light, but the car looked different: its colour and shape changed. Treat extend as continuity of place and motion, not of every detail.
Sound and resolution
resolution sets the picture size of the new part.

Pricing
Prices are in USD. The API uses a separate USD balance. Website credits cannot be used or transferred to it, and API funds cannot be transferred to website credits. When a task is accepted, we reserve the maximum quoted amount from your API balance. On completion, we charge for actual usage, never more than the hold, and release the remainder. If the task fails, the hold is released.

Use cases
Finish a shot that ended too early
Describe the next beat and add a few seconds.
Build a longer scene step by step
Extend, review the result, and extend again.
Hold on the scenery
Ask the camera to stay on the sea or the sky while something crosses the frame. In our test the new part showed gulls flying over the sea and ended on open water.
Prompt guide & pro tips
Describe the next beat, not the whole scene
The clip already shows who and where. Spend the prompt on what happens next and how the camera moves: in our test one sentence about the car entering a tunnel and the camera holding on the sea was enough.
Check the details after the join
Because the car changed colour and shape in our test, look for props, vehicles and wardrobe that must stay the same, and re-run with a changed prompt or seed if they drift.
Compare with a seed
seed keeps runs comparable while you change one thing at a time. It does not guarantee identical frames.
API quick start
Call the PixVerse V6 API in three steps
- Create an API key. Sign in to PopNow and create a key in the API console. Keys start with sk-popnow-. API calls use your separate USD balance.
- Send the request. POST /jobs/createTask with model pixverse/v6/video-extend and an input object that follows the parameter table. The response returns a task ID straight away.

# 1. Create the task. Keep the Idempotency-Key if you retry after a network error.
export IDEMPOTENCY_KEY="$(uuidgen)"
curl -X POST https://api.popnow.ai/api/v1/jobs/createTask \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $POPNOW_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \

"model": "pixverse/v6/video-extend",
"input": {
"prompt": "A slow aerial shot drifting over a misty pine forest at sunrise",
"video_url": "https://media.popnow.ai/effects/flower-bloom-1abd6efb.mp4",
"resolution": "720p",
"duration_seconds": 5
}
}'
# 2. Copy data.taskId from the response, then poll until state is succeeded, failed, canceled or expired.
TASK_ID="TASK_ID_FROM_RESPONSE"
curl "https://api.popnow.ai/api/v1/jobs/recordInfo?taskId=$TASK_ID" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $POPNOW_API_KEY"Replace the prompt and any links with your own. The API tab has the response, polling and callback reference.
About the PixVerse V6 Extend Video endpoint
Only the new seconds are billed, and the source length costs nothing. A five-second source with five new seconds returns a file of about ten seconds, which is the length an in-app preview should show.
Setting and light carry over, but details such as a vehicle's colour can change in the new part. Describe what must stay in the prompt when continuity matters.
Extension is how you build longer sequences. Chain the calls in order, because each new part needs the previous file as its source.
