About PixVerse V6 Effects

The PixVerse V6 Effects API is a single image-to-video endpoint, pixverse/v6-effects/image-to-video. You choose a template with preset, send one photo in image_urls (two for the three two-photo templates), and get back a short themed clip. The template sets the length, roughly 5 to 30 seconds, and the motion, so your app only has to show a gallery of looks and collect a photo from the user.

Introduction

PixVerse V6 Effects Image to video applies one of 50 ready-made PixVerse effect templates to your photo. You pick the template with preset, send one photo in image_urls (two photos for three of the templates) and get back a short themed clip. The template fixes the clip length and the motion, so the choices left to you are the resolution (360p, 540p, 720p or 1080p) and whether the clip has sound. A prompt is optional.

Five kinds of template

• Sports celebrations: Knee Slide, Epic Save, Stadium Legend, Trophy Celebration, World Champion Lift, Tunnel to Captain, Dynamic Football Poster, Mini Football Hero.
• Product showcases: Product Landmark, Fluffy Factory, Fluffy Chef, Summer Postcard, Surfing Summer, Kitty Shop, Inhaled into Product Universe.
• Dance: Thriller Dance Steps, Dai Dai Dance, Apex Dance, Rhythm Dash.
• Greetings and moments: Today is my birthday, Love Launcher, Idol Ending Shot, plus the three two-person templates Top of the World, The Last Hug and Dive into the deep blue of love.
• Transformations: Magma Rise, Cyber Armor: Reborn in the Rain, Screen Killer King.

The rest, such as Crowd Focus, Ski Joy, MotoGP Live and Nail Lab, sit outside these groups. The grouping is our reading of PixVerse's template names; the table lists every template.

One photo in, a short clip out

In our test, a waist-up studio portrait of a smiling man in a tan shearling jacket and white T-shirt went in with the Knee Slide template. The clip that came back was 5.04 seconds long at 768x1024 and 540p: he is placed on a stadium pitch in football shorts and socks and slides on his knees with his arms spread wide, with the crowd and floodlights behind him. Model time was 36 seconds, not counting queueing or transfer.

Pricing

Prices are in USD. The API uses a separate USD balance. Website credits cannot be used or transferred to it, and API funds cannot be transferred to website credits. When a task is accepted, we reserve the maximum quoted amount from your API balance. On completion, we charge for actual usage, never more than the hold, and release the remainder. If the task fails, the hold is released.

Send the same request body to POST /jobs/quote to see the estimated and maximum USD charge before running. A quote does not run the task or charge your balance.

Product Landmark, Fluffy Factory, Summer Postcard and Inhaled into Product Universe read as product showcases by name. We have not run them, so try one with your own product photo before you plan a batch.

Dance clips without choreography

Thriller Dance Steps, Dai Dai Dance, Apex Dance and Rhythm Dash are the dance templates. Pick one and upload a clear portrait; there is no movement to describe.

Greetings and shared moments

Today is my birthday, Love Launcher and Idol Ending Shot suit greetings and posts. The Last Hug, Top of the World and Dive into the deep blue of love take two photos, one for each of the two people.

Transformations

Magma Rise, Cyber Armor: Reborn in the Rain and Screen Killer King are the action and transformation templates for a dramatic reveal.

Prompt guide & pro tips

Let the template do the directing

The template already defines the motion and the length. The prompt is optional: if you leave it out we send a neutral default.

Name the moment in a few words

Our Knee Slide run used one line, "Knee slide goal celebration.", which names the same moment the template is built for. We did not compare it with a run that left the prompt out, so treat a prompt as a nudge, not a control. For a clip you direct in full, use PixVerse V6.

Start from a clear photo

A clear, studio-style portrait worked in our Knee Slide run. Use one photo per person: the two-person templates need two photos.

Expect the setting and outfit to change

The studio background became a stadium pitch and the jacket became a football kit. Compare the result with your photo before you publish it.

Draft low, finish high

Check the result at 360p or 540p with sound off, then rerun at 720p or 1080p, or switch sound on, once you like it.

Use the seed to compare one change at a time

seed is useful to compare one change at a time; it does not guarantee identical frames.

Need your own scene or higher picture quality?

A template fixes the motion, and the prompt can nudge it. Use PixVerse V6 for prompt-driven video, or PixVerse V6 Max for higher picture quality from text or a single image.

API quick start

Call the PixVerse V6 Effects API in three steps

1. Create an API key. Sign in to PopNow and create a key in the API console. Keys start with sk-popnow-. API calls use your separate USD balance.
2. Send the request. POST /jobs/createTask with model pixverse/v6-effects/image-to-video and an input object that follows the parameter table. The response returns a task ID straight away.
3. Get the result. Poll GET /jobs/recordInfo with the task ID, or pass a callBackUrl and we post the result to it. Download the output links when the task succeeds.

What to build with the PixVerse V6 Effects API

• A one-tap gallery in a consumer app, where the template thumbnail is the product and the user only uploads a selfie.
• A seasonal campaign tool that rotates a set of templates through a holiday or a product launch.
• A catalogue tool that runs a product shot through a showcase template for listing videos.

PixVerse V6 Effects parameter notes

• preset is required and must be one of the 50 template IDs. Pass the numeric ID, not the display name. The default is 398965022284579, which is Knee Slide.
• image_urls is required. It takes one image for most templates and two for Dive into the deep blue of love, Top of the World and The Last Hug. Each image is JPG, JPEG, PNG or WebP up to 20 MB.
• prompt is optional and up to 5,000 characters. It is a nudge on top of the template, which already defines the motion. Leave it out and the endpoint sends a neutral default.
• resolution takes 360p, 540p, 720p (the default) or 1080p. generate_audio defaults to false, and seed is optional.
• Match the photo count to the template. Send two entries in image_urls for the two-photo presets, and one for every other template.

How PixVerse V6 Effects API pricing adds up

Billing is in USD per second of the clip the template delivers, at the same per-second rates as PixVerse V6 image to video: $0.0222 at 360p without sound, $0.040 at 720p and $0.080 at 1080p, with the sound-on rates higher. The job holds a 30-second maximum until delivery and then releases the difference, so the final charge follows the real length of the clip. Failed or declined requests are not charged.

Async jobs, webhooks and rate limits

Every PixVerse V6 Effects request is asynchronous: createTask returns a taskId straight away, and the result arrives when the job finishes. Poll GET /jobs/recordInfo every few seconds, or pass a public https callBackUrl and verify the X-Webhook-Signature header (HMAC-SHA256 over taskId, timestamp and the body hash) before trusting the payload. Each account gets 1,000 write requests per 10 seconds; a 429 carries Retry-After. Send an Idempotency-Key with createTask so a retried request for pixverse/v6-effects/image-to-video never runs or bills twice.
