About PixVerse V6 Max
PixVerse V6 Max is the premium tier of the pixverse/v6-max family, with two endpoints: text-to-video as the default and image-to-video. Choose it when the output has to hold up at 1080p and you do not need last frames, reference elements, extension or multi-shot cuts. In our runs a five-second 540p clip took about a minute and a half to render, and 1080p takes longer, so plan the user experience around a background job.
Call it with the model name pixverse/v6-max/text-to-video on POST /jobs/createTask, from $0.133.
Introduction
PixVerse V6 Max Text to Video turns a written scene into a clip of 1 to 15 seconds at 360p, 540p, 720p or 1080p, in eight aspect ratios from 9:16 to 21:9. V6 Max is PixVerse's higher-quality tier of PixVerse V6, launched on 2026-10-20. Sound is optional: switch generate_audio on and the model generates ambience, effects, music and any dialogue you write in quotes together with the picture. In our runs a 5-second 540p clip took about a minute and a half of model time.
V6 Max starts from text or from a single image and nothing else: there is no last frame, no reference mode, no extend and no multi-shot switch. Those live on PixVerse V6.

Key features
Up to 1080p and 15 seconds
resolution runs from 360p to 1080p (720p by default) and duration_seconds takes any whole number from 1 to 15.
Eight aspect ratios
16:9 (default), 4:3, 1:1, 3:4, 9:16, 2:3, 3:2 and 21:9. Our violinist clip was requested at 9:16 and came back at 576x1024 at 540p.
Sound written into the prompt
generate_audio is off by default. Switched on, the model generates ambience, effects, music and dialogue you write in quotes together with the picture. In our violinist run, with sound on, the violin music was audible on the soundtrack.
Content review
PixVerse applies its own content review, and how far a request at the edge of it goes can vary from request to request.

Prices are in USD. The API uses a separate USD balance. Website credits cannot be used or transferred to it, and API funds cannot be transferred to website credits. When a task is accepted, we reserve the maximum quoted amount from your API balance. On completion, we charge for actual usage, never more than the hold, and release the remainder. If the task fails, the hold is released.

Use cases
Night streets and plazas with ambience
Describe the place, one action and what you hear. The snowy-square example shows a street violinist under a lit stone arch with a crowd watching and the violin on the soundtrack.
Vertical clips for social
Choose 9:16 and describe a subject that fits a tall frame. The violinist clip came back as a 576x1024 vertical clip.
Checking a shot against PixVerse V6
Run the same prompt and seed on PixVerse V6 and on V6 Max, then compare the frames for your own scene. PixVerse positions V6 Max as the higher-quality tier; your shot is the best test of what that means for you.
Prompt guide & pro tips
Write it in the order it happens
Subject and setting, action, camera move, light, then a separate Sound: line. Prompts can be 1 to 5,000 characters, but one clear scene reads better than a long list.
Put dialogue in quotes
With generate_audio on, a spoken line written in quotes is generated as dialogue. Keep it to one short line per clip.
Keep it to one scene
V6 Max has no multi-shot switch, so describe a single continuous moment. If you want the model to cut the clip into several shots, use shot_type on PixVerse V6.
Draft low, finish at 1080p
Find the framing and the action at 540p or 720p, then rerun the prompt you like at 1080p.
Use a seed to compare one change at a time
Keep the seed fixed while you change a single thing in the prompt. It is useful for comparisons; it does not guarantee identical frames.
API quick start
Call the PixVerse V6 Max API in three steps
- Create an API key. Sign in to PopNow and create a key in the API console. Keys start with sk-popnow-. API calls use your separate USD balance.
- Send the request. POST /jobs/createTask with model pixverse/v6-max/text-to-video and an input object that follows the parameter table. The response returns a task ID straight away.
- Get the result. Poll GET /jobs/recordInfo with the task ID, or pass a callBackUrl and we post the result to it. Download the output links when the task succeeds.
# 1. Create the task. Keep the Idempotency-Key if you retry after a network error.
export IDEMPOTENCY_KEY="$(uuidgen)"
curl -X POST https://api.popnow.ai/api/v1/jobs/createTask \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $POPNOW_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-H "Idempotency-Key: $IDEMPOTENCY_KEY" \
-d '{
"model": "pixverse/v6-max/text-to-video",
"input": {
"prompt": "A slow aerial shot drifting over a misty pine forest at sunrise",
"aspect_ratio": "16:9",
"resolution": "720p",
"duration_seconds": 5
}
}'
# 2. Copy data.taskId from the response, then poll until state is succeeded, failed, canceled or expired.
TASK_ID="TASK_ID_FROM_RESPONSE"
curl "https://api.popnow.ai/api/v1/jobs/recordInfo?taskId=$TASK_ID" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $POPNOW_API_KEY"Replace the prompt and any links with your own. The API tab has the response, polling and callback reference.
What to build with the PixVerse V6 Max API
- A landing-page hero generator that renders one cinematic 1080p shot per product from a short written brief.
- A portrait animation feature that accepts a single photo and returns a short motion clip with the same framing.
- A bulk social-clip service that renders drafts at 540p and reruns only the approved prompts at 1080p.
PixVerse V6 Max parameter notes
- prompt is required. On text-to-video it runs from 1 to 5,000 characters. On image-to-video it describes only what happens after the first frame, because the picture already shows the look.
- duration_seconds is a whole number from 1 to 15, defaulting to 5. Billing is per second, so the length drives the total as much as the resolution does.
- resolution takes 360p, 540p, 720p (the default) or 1080p. The rate for 1080p is roughly double the 720p rate at the same audio setting.
- aspect_ratio is only on text-to-video: 16:9 by default, with 4:3, 1:1, 3:4, 9:16, 2:3, 3:2 and 21:9 available.
- image_url takes exactly one first frame, in JPG, JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 20 MB, with each side up to 10,000 px. The clip keeps that picture's aspect ratio.
- generate_audio defaults to false. For spoken lines, put them in quotes, and describe the sound on its own Sound: line, as the endpoint documentation suggests.
How PixVerse V6 Max API pricing adds up
Billing is in USD per second of output. Without sound the rate is $0.0266 per second at 360p, $0.040 at 540p, $0.0488 at 720p and $0.0977 at 1080p. With sound on, 360p is $0.040 per second and 1080p is $0.1244. A five-second 1080p clip with sound is about $0.62. Failed requests are not charged, and API usage draws on the separate API balance.
- generate_audio false · resolution 360p, 5-second clip: $0.133 each, $13.30 for 100 clips
- generate_audio true · resolution 1080p, 5-second clip: $0.622 each, $62.20 for 100 clips
Async jobs, webhooks and rate limits
Every PixVerse V6 Max request is asynchronous: createTask returns a taskId straight away, and the result arrives when the job finishes. Poll GET /jobs/recordInfo every few seconds, or pass a public https callBackUrl and verify the X-Webhook-Signature header (HMAC-SHA256 over taskId, timestamp and the body hash) before trusting the payload. Each account gets 1,000 write requests per 10 seconds; a 429 carries Retry-After. Send an Idempotency-Key with createTask so a retried request for pixverse/v6-max/text-to-video never runs or bills twice.
Common PixVerse V6 Max API errors
| errorCode | What it usually means and how to fix it |
|---|---|
invalid_request | duration_seconds outside 1 to 15, a resolution outside the four tiers, or an aspect_ratio sent to image-to-video. Validate the body before createTask. |
invalid_asset | image_url could not be fetched, is not a JPG, JPEG, PNG or WebP, is larger than 20 MB or has a side over 10,000 px. Upload the file first and pass the returned reference. |
content_rejected | The prompt or the still was declined at review. Show the reason to the user and let them revise; the held amount on the balance is released. |
timeout | The render ran past the job limit. Retry with a shorter duration or a lower resolution, since 1080p is the slowest path through this tier. |
PixVerse V6 Max API questions
How much does the PixVerse V6 Max API cost?
PixVerse V6 Max starts at $0.133 for a 5-second clip with Create Video, its cheapest task. Prices by option: false · 360p $0.0266 per second, false · 540p $0.04 per second, true · 360p $0.04 per second, false · 720p $0.0488 per second.
What is the model name for PixVerse V6 Max in the API?
Put pixverse/v6-max/text-to-video for Create Video; pixverse/v6-max/image-to-video for Image to Video in the model field of POST /jobs/createTask.
What is the difference between V6 Max and V6 for an integration?
Choose V6 Max when quality is the priority and the job starts from text or one still. V6 also offers last frames, reference elements, extend and multi-shot. The endpoint names differ, so pixverse/v6-max/text-to-video is not pixverse/v6/text-to-video.
Can I pass a second image to make a transition?
Not on V6 Max. A last frame is a feature of the standard V6 image-to-video endpoint.
How often should I poll for the finished file?
A five-second 540p clip averages about a minute and a half, so polling every 10 to 15 seconds is reasonable, or register a callback and skip polling entirely.
Why is 1080p so much more expensive?
Each step up in resolution costs more per second. At 1080p the rate is about twice the 720p rate with the same audio setting, so the cheapest route to a final render is to approve the take at 540p first.
What are the limits of the PixVerse V6 Max API?
Clip length: 1–15 s; Resolutions: 360p · 540p · 720p · 1080p; Aspect ratios: 16:9 · 4:3 · 1:1 · 3:4 · 9:16 · 2:3 +2; Prompt length (characters): 5,000. Requests outside these limits are rejected before anything is charged.
Can I try PixVerse V6 Max without writing code?
Run PixVerse V6 Max in the Playground with your API USD balance, without an API key. Each run appears in your developer history with its matching code.
