Can it remove hardcoded (burned-in) subtitles?

Yes, that is what it is for. Burned-in subtitles are part of the picture, so they can't be switched off. The tool repaints the marked area frame by frame, so the words disappear without a blur box or a crop.

Marking areas, finding text and comparing are free. Erasing costs 24 credits per second of video, about 360 credits for a 15-second clip.

Can it remove subtitles that change every few seconds?

Yes, as long as they appear in the same area. The box covers the band where lines appear, and every line inside it is erased.

Can it remove text that moves?

No. The erased area is fixed for the whole clip, so text that slides across the screen or follows a person can't be tracked. Split the clip and mark each part if the text jumps between a few spots.

Press Find text automatically. It reads 8 frames on your device and marks text that appears in at least two of them. Dashed boxes are text inside the scene; click one to erase it too.

What's the difference between soft and burned-in subtitles?

Soft subtitles (an SRT or VTT file, or a track inside an MKV or MP4) are separate from the picture and your player can turn them off, so you don't need this tool. Burned-in subtitles are drawn into every frame and can only be removed by repainting the picture.
