Your script, read exactly as written
Paste a finished script and leave Keep my words selected. PopNow doesn't touch your wording: it cuts the script into scenes between sentences, writes a short headline and plans a picture for each scene, and a PopNow narrator voice reads every word. Captions are timed to the narration word by word.
That fits scripts that are already approved: a training module, a product walkthrough, a faceless YouTube narration or a lesson. If you only have rough notes, switch to Rewrite for voice and it writes the spoken script for you.
How to turn a script into a video
- Paste the scriptUp to 20,000 characters. Under the box you see how long it takes to read at about 150 words a minute.
- Pick a lookChoose one of nine looks, such as Cinematic or Paper cut-out, and the shape of the video. One of five narrator voices is picked in the plan.
- Check the scenesEvery scene card shows the exact lines it will read. Reorder scenes, change pictures or animate a few, then make the MP4.
Script length and format
- Plain text up to 20,000 characters. Paste only the words to be spoken: stage directions in brackets are read aloud too.
- Word-for-word narration fits about 5 minutes of reading, roughly 800 words in English. A longer script needs Rewrite for voice or a cut.
- Chinese, Japanese and Korean scripts are timed at about 4 characters a second, so 5 minutes is roughly 1,300 characters.
- A script is split into 3 to 40 scenes. Markdown headings such as # Part two become chapters.
- Narration uses PopNow's five narrator voices; a recording of your own voice can't be used here.
What a script video costs
Narration is priced by length and pictures by scene. Keeping your words adds nothing to the price.

Budget makes pictures with Seedream 5.0 Flash and moving scenes with Seedance 2.0 Mini; Standard uses Nano Banana 2.1 and MiniMax H3. Failed steps are refunded.
A real test run
We pasted the first three paragraphs of Michael Faraday's lecture The Chemical History of a Candle, a public-domain text of about 450 words, with Keep my words and the Storybook look on Budget, and animated 3 scenes. It came out as 16 scenes with 3 chapter cards, 2 minutes 23 seconds long, and the narration matched the source text word for word.
Writing a script that reads well
- Read the script aloud once before pasting it. Anything awkward to say is awkward to hear.
- Give each sentence one idea. Scenes are cut between sentences, so short sentences make more, shorter scenes.
- Put a Markdown heading before each section if you want chapter cards.
- Use the optional note to steer the pictures, for example: flat illustrations, no people.
Questions and answers
How do I turn a script into a video with AI?+
Paste the script, keep Keep my words selected and continue to the plan. The AI splits it into scenes, plans a picture for each and reads your words; you check every scene before the pictures and narration are made.
Will the AI change my script?+
Not with Keep my words. The narration is your text exactly, and a check confirms that the scenes put back together equal your script. Only the headlines and pictures are written by the AI.
How long can my script be?+
About 5 minutes of reading for word-for-word narration, roughly 800 words in English. Rewrite for voice takes up to 20,000 characters and condenses them to the length you pick.
Can I make a faceless YouTube video from a script?+
Yes. Nobody appears on screen: pictures with slow camera moves, a few animated scenes if you want them, captions and a narrator. Pick 16:9 for YouTube or 9:16 for Shorts.
Can I use my own voice?+
Not in this tool, which uses PopNow's five narrator voices. In the PopNow editor the narration sits on its own track.
How much does a script video cost?+
Each new picture is 29 credits on Budget or 48 credits on Standard, and narration with word timing is about 20 credits per minute. The 300-word example in the price section is about 474 credits. Failed steps are refunded.
