Explainer videos from what you already have
An explainer video walks a viewer through one idea: how something works, why it matters, what to do next. PopNow makes them as faceless narrated videos: a picture for every point with slow camera moves, a short headline on screen, captions timed to the voice, background music and, in longer videos, chapter cards.
Start from whatever you have. Paste notes, an outline or an article and Rewrite for voice turns it into a spoken script at the length you pick. Upload a PDF or a slide deck, add a link, or switch to A topic and describe the idea in one sentence for a short explainer of up to 60 seconds.
How to make an explainer video with AI
- Give it the materialPaste text, upload a file or add a link. For a quick one, choose A topic and write a single sentence.
- Choose a look and lengthNine looks, from Whiteboard and Chalkboard to Soft 3D and Cinematic, and a length from 1 to 5 minutes.
- Approve the planRead the scene cards, rename chapters, turn chapter cards on or off, preview the animatic and make the final MP4.
What you can make
- 1 to 5 minutes from a document or pasted text, or up to 60 seconds from a one-sentence topic.
- Up to 40 scenes in up to 8 chapters, with an optional chapter card of about 3 seconds before each chapter.
- Up to 12 animated scenes; the rest are pictures with slow camera moves.
- Five narrator voices, with captions in a standard, large or split layout depending on the look.
- 16:9, 9:16 or square. Documents start at 16:9.
What an explainer costs
The surest way to keep the price down is the animatic: every scene as a picture with a camera move. Then animate only the scenes that need motion.
- Writing the plan
- Shown on Write my plan in Studio before you press it
- Each new picture
- 29 credits on Budget · 48 credits on Standard
- Narration with word timing, per minute
- 20 credits
- Moving scenes, per second of video
- 25 credits on Budget · 37 credits on Standard
- A new instrumental track (optional)
- 72 credits
- Library music, captions, chapter cards and the final MP4
- 0 credits
Example: a 1,500-word article turned into a 3:00 explainer with 24 scenes is about 756 credits on Budget or 1,212 credits on Standard as an animatic. Each animated scene adds about 222 credits on Budget or 333 credits on Standard, and a new music track adds about 72 credits.
Budget makes pictures with Seedream 5.0 Flash and moving scenes with Seedance 2.0 Mini; Standard uses Nano Banana 2.1 and MiniMax H3. Failed steps are refunded.
A real test run
From about 450 words of a public-domain science lecture, on Budget with the Storybook look, the maker planned 16 scenes in 3 chapters, each opened by a chapter card, and we animated 3 of them. The result ran 2 minutes 23 seconds. Where a moving clip was shorter than its narration, the scene held on the first frame before playing, so the voice never drifted out of sync.
What makes an explainer work
- One explainer, one question. If your material answers three questions, make three short videos.
- Say who it's for in the optional note; for customers who just signed up changes both the words and the pictures.
- Whiteboard and Chalkboard feel like teaching, Infographic suits data, Documentary feels serious and Soft 3D feels friendly.
- Preview the animatic first. Most explainers need only two or three moving scenes.
Questions and answers
What is an AI explainer video generator?+
A tool that turns information into a short narrated video. This one writes or keeps the script, splits it into scenes, plans a picture for each, adds a narrator, captions and music, and edits everything into one MP4.
Do I need a script?+
No. Paste notes or an article and keep Rewrite for voice, or use A topic with one sentence. If you do have a script, Keep my words reads it as written.
Can I make an animated explainer video?+
Yes. Pick a drawn look such as Whiteboard, Paper cut-out or Soft 3D, and animate up to 12 scenes so their pictures move. The other scenes use slow camera moves.
Is there a presenter or avatar on screen?+
No. These are faceless explainers with an off-screen narrator, which makes them quick to change and easy to remake in another language.
Can I change one scene without remaking everything?+
Partly. Change a scene's picture and only that scene is made again. Change any narration and the whole voiceover is recorded again, together with the scenes you've already animated, because they follow its timing.
How much does an explainer video cost?+
The 3:00 example above is about 756 credits on Budget as an animatic. Each animated scene adds about 222 credits, library music costs nothing, and failed steps are refunded.
