About Wan 3.0 Pro
Wan 3.0 Pro delivers Alibaba's Wan 3.0 at 1080p, 2K or 4K. A native Wan 3.0 render tops out at 1080p, so the 2K and 4K tiers are enlarged from it: this is a high-resolution delivery tier built on Wan 3.0, not a separate Alibaba model. It is published as separate APIs — text-to-video, image-to-video, video-extend and reference-to-video — with generated audio and no platform filter on any endpoint.
Call it with the model name alibaba/wan-3.0-pro/text-to-video on POST /jobs/createTask, from 108 credits for a 5-second clip ($1.08). New accounts get 30 free credits to try it in the Playground first.
Introduction
Wan 3.0 Pro Text to video writes a shot from a prompt and delivers it at 1080p, 2K or 4K for 2 to 30 seconds, with generated audio in the same file. prompt is the only required field and accepts up to 20,000 characters. A native Wan 3.0 render tops out at 1080p, so the 2k and 4k tiers are enlarged from that render rather than drawn at those sizes. There is no 480p or 720p tier on this endpoint; Wan 3.0 covers those sizes.

Key features
Three delivery sizes from one native render
resolution takes 1080p (the default), 2k or 4k. The two larger tiers stretch what the model drew rather than drawing more, so they suit footage that will be cropped, tracked or projected, and they are only as good as the render underneath. Find the shot at 1080p first and treat 4K as a delivery step.
Prompt expansion starts switched on
On this family enable_prompt_expansion defaults to true. It fills out a thin brief, which is handy while you are still sketching, and it rewrites a detailed one. Once your prompt is a precise shot description, set the field to false so the wording you tuned is the wording that runs.
Adaptive frame unless you pin one
aspect_ratio defaults to adaptive, which lets the model choose the frame. Name 16:9, 4:3, 1:1, 3:4 or 9:16 when the delivery format is fixed: the fence example asks for 9:16 for a vertical frame, while the perfume, monochrome and tattoo examples all pin 16:9.

Use cases
Fragrance and beauty spots under hard light
Specular fabric, one hard source and small fast particles break first when footage is enlarged, so inspect exactly those in a 2K or 4K delivery.
Fabric driven by one external force
Two examples direct clothing through a single force instead of describing how it sits. In the monochrome fashion film, three metres of silk chiffon in front of an industrial wind machine whips around the body and twists around one shoulder under a hard key against a black void. In the fence example, jet wash from a landing aircraft presses two people's clothes flat against them. Naming the force gives the fabric a cause to follow.
Prompt guide & pro tips
Explore at 1080p, then re-render the chosen seed
Find the shot at 5 seconds and 1080p with seed fixed, change one field per rerun, and only then send the same prompt and seed with resolution set to 4k. Changing resolution and wording in the same rerun makes it impossible to tell which one moved the result.
Write the shot, not a mood
Subject, one action, one camera move, then light and sound. The tattoo-parlour prompt is a good model: candles and one desk lamp as the only light, gloved hands shading a piece across the ribs, a wince, a slow breath and a grin over the shoulder, a buzzing machine, a very slow push-in. At 4K a vague brief is an expensive way to discover what you meant.
Name the sounds you want to hear
Sound is generated with the picture, so list its sources: the perfume spot asks for "low cello note and rain", the wind-machine film for "the roar of the fan and snapping cloth". Set generate_audio to false when a composer is scoring the spot.
API quick start
Call the Wan 3.0 Pro API in three steps
- Create an API key. Sign in to PopNow and create a key in the API console. Keys start with sk-popnow- and use the same credits as the website.
- Send the request. POST /jobs/createTask with model alibaba/wan-3.0-pro/text-to-video and an input object that follows the parameter table. The response returns a task ID straight away.
- Get the result. Poll GET /jobs/recordInfo with the task ID, or pass a callBackUrl and we post the result to it. Download the output links when the task succeeds.
# 1. Create the task. Keep the Idempotency-Key if you retry after a network error.
export IDEMPOTENCY_KEY="$(uuidgen)"
curl -X POST https://api.popnow.ai/api/v1/jobs/createTask \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $POPNOW_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-H "Idempotency-Key: $IDEMPOTENCY_KEY" \
-d '{
"model": "alibaba/wan-3.0-pro/text-to-video",
"input": {
"prompt": "A slow aerial shot drifting over a misty pine forest at sunrise",
"resolution": "1080p",
"aspect_ratio": "adaptive",
"duration_seconds": 5
}
}'
# 2. Copy data.taskId from the response, then poll until state is succeeded, failed, canceled or expired.
TASK_ID="TASK_ID_FROM_RESPONSE"
curl "https://api.popnow.ai/api/v1/jobs/recordInfo?taskId=$TASK_ID" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $POPNOW_API_KEY"Replace the prompt and any links with your own. The API tab has the response, polling and callback reference.
Wan 3.0 Pro API questions
How much does the Wan 3.0 Pro API cost?
Wan 3.0 Pro starts at 108 credits ($1.08) for a 5-second clip with Create Video, its cheapest task. Prices by option: 1080p 21.6 credits per second, 2K 24 credits per second, 4K 27.6 credits per second. Credits are the same as on the website (1 credit = $0.01), new accounts get 30 free credits, and failed tasks are refunded.
What is the model name for Wan 3.0 Pro in the API?
Put alibaba/wan-3.0-pro/text-to-video for Create Video; alibaba/wan-3.0-pro/image-to-video for Image to Video; alibaba/wan-3.0-pro/reference-to-video for Reference to Video; alibaba/wan-3.0-pro/video-extend for Extend Video in the model field of POST /jobs/createTask.
Is Wan 3.0 Pro's 4K native?
No. A native Wan 3.0 render tops out at 1080p, so the 4K file you receive is enlarged from that render rather than drawn at 4K. The extra detail comes from the enlargement, which is why a clean take enlarges better than a soft one. Tiers here are 1080p, 2k and 4k, defaulting to 1080p; there is no 480p or 720p, and for those sizes use Wan 3.0.
What is the difference between Wan 3.0 and Wan 3.0 Pro?
Which sizes you can ask for. Wan 3.0 renders natively at 480p, 720p or 1080p. Wan 3.0 Pro drops those two smaller tiers and delivers 1080p, 2K or 4K, with everything above 1080p enlarged from the native render. Both accept image, video and audio references on reference-to-video, and clip length, 2 to 30 seconds, is the same.
Does it generate audio?
Yes, in the same pass and on by default, so one file arrives with sound already aligned to picture. Set generate_audio to false when the spot will be scored separately.
Why is my prompt being rewritten?
enable_prompt_expansion defaults to true on this family. It helps thin briefs and fights detailed ones. Set it to false once your prompt is a precise shot description.
Can I supply a first and last frame?
Yes, on image-to-video: image_url opens the shot and last_image_url is an optional closing frame. Pinning both ends is how a product returns to its hero angle inside five seconds.
What are the limits of the Wan 3.0 Pro API?
Clip length: 2–30 s; Resolutions: 1080p · 2K · 4K; Aspect ratios: 16:9 · 4:3 · 1:1 · 3:4 · 9:16 · adaptive; Prompt length (characters): 20,000. Requests outside these limits are rejected before anything is charged.
Can I try Wan 3.0 Pro without writing code?
Yes. The Playground runs Wan 3.0 Pro on your PopNow credits, needs no API key, and shows the matching code for every run.
