alibaba/wan-3.0-pro/image-to-videoFrom 108 credits for a 5-second clip· Image to Video

Wan 3.0 Pro image-to-video animates an opening frame at 1080p, 2K or 4K for 2 to 30 seconds, with generated audio. An optional last frame pins where the shot lands, and a sharp source image matters at higher resolutions.

Call it with the model name alibaba/wan-3.0-pro/image-to-video on POST /jobs/createTask, from 108 credits for a 5-second clip ($1.08). New accounts get 30 free credits to try it in the Playground first.

Introduction

Wan 3.0 Pro Image to video animates an opening frame and delivers the clip at 1080p, 2K or 4K for 2 to 30 seconds. image_url is the only required field and is used exactly as the first frame, so wardrobe, body, set and light come from your still; the prompt is optional and should carry motion and camera only. last_image_url optionally fixes the exact final frame, and it works only together with image_url. Audio is generated with the picture unless you switch it off.

Key features

A 4K render cannot sharpen a soft still

The opening frame is the quality ceiling of the shot, and the 2k and 4k tiers enlarge a native 1080p render rather than drawing new detail. A soft or low-resolution source stays soft at 4K. Supply a JPEG, PNG without transparency, BMP or WEBP of 240 to 8000 pixels per side, up to 20 MB and no wider than 8:1, as sharp as you have.

Both ends pinned for edit-ready masters

The bottle example sends the same packshot as image_url and last_image_url at 4k, with prompt expansion and audio switched off and a fixed seed of 5512090. The bottle rotates a quarter turn so the highlight travels the length of the glass and returns to its opening angle, producing a master whose label stays readable when an editor pushes in digitally.

Framing follows the source by default

aspect_ratio defaults to adaptive, which follows the opening frame. Pin 16:9, 4:3, 1:1, 3:4 or 9:16 only when the delivery format is fixed. None of the four published examples sets a ratio, so each clip keeps the shape of its source image.

Use cases

Long journeys with an approved payoff

The summit example supplies the foot of the mountain as image_url and the summit as last_image_url, then renders 10 seconds at 4K with the prompt covering only the climb between them. A long ascent is where an unpinned ending drifts; fixing the landing frame lets you approve the payoff as a still before paying for a 4K render.

Wardrobe held in the frame

It renders 5 seconds at 2k.

Prompt guide & pro tips

Use the prompt for motion and camera only

Prompt expansion is on by default on this family and will rewrite a detailed motion brief, so set enable_prompt_expansion to false once your wording is precise, as the bottle example does. Then say who moves, how far and how fast, and what the camera does. The prompt accepts up to 20,000 characters, but one clear action moves the result more than a long list.

Approve at 1080p, then render large

Settle framing and motion at 5 seconds and 1080p with a held seed; a rerun that changes both resolution and seed changes two things at once. When both frames are approved and the motion reads correctly, re-send the same body at 2k or 4k. Durations run 2 to 30 whole seconds, or -1 to let the model pick the length.

Inspect enlarged detail in the delivered file

In a 2K or 4K file, check the areas an enlargement stretches first: label text, hard specular highlights, hair and skin texture.

API quick start

Call the Wan 3.0 Pro API in three steps

  1. Create an API key. Sign in to PopNow and create a key in the API console. Keys start with sk-popnow- and use the same credits as the website.
  2. Send the request. POST /jobs/createTask with model alibaba/wan-3.0-pro/image-to-video and an input object that follows the parameter table. The response returns a task ID straight away.
  3. Get the result. Poll GET /jobs/recordInfo with the task ID, or pass a callBackUrl and we post the result to it. Download the output links when the task succeeds.
# 1. Create the task. Keep the Idempotency-Key if you retry after a network error.
export IDEMPOTENCY_KEY="$(uuidgen)"
curl -X POST https://api.popnow.ai/api/v1/jobs/createTask \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $POPNOW_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "Idempotency-Key: $IDEMPOTENCY_KEY" \
  -d '{
  "model": "alibaba/wan-3.0-pro/image-to-video",
  "input": {
    "image_url": "https://media.popnow.ai/influencer/examples/marco.webp",
    "resolution": "1080p",
    "aspect_ratio": "adaptive",
    "duration_seconds": 5
  }
}'

# 2. Copy data.taskId from the response, then poll until state is succeeded, failed, canceled or expired.
TASK_ID="TASK_ID_FROM_RESPONSE"
curl "https://api.popnow.ai/api/v1/jobs/recordInfo?taskId=$TASK_ID" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $POPNOW_API_KEY"

Replace the prompt and any links with your own. The API tab has the response, polling and callback reference.

Wan 3.0 Pro API questions

How much does the Wan 3.0 Pro API cost?

Wan 3.0 Pro starts at 108 credits ($1.08) for a 5-second clip with Image to Video, its cheapest task. Prices by option: 1080p 21.6 credits per second, 2K 24 credits per second, 4K 27.6 credits per second. Credits are the same as on the website (1 credit = $0.01), new accounts get 30 free credits, and failed tasks are refunded.

What is the model name for Wan 3.0 Pro in the API?

Put alibaba/wan-3.0-pro/text-to-video for Create Video; alibaba/wan-3.0-pro/image-to-video for Image to Video; alibaba/wan-3.0-pro/reference-to-video for Reference to Video; alibaba/wan-3.0-pro/video-extend for Extend Video in the model field of POST /jobs/createTask.

Is Wan 3.0 Pro's 4K native?

No. A native Wan 3.0 render tops out at 1080p, so the 4K file you receive is enlarged from that render rather than drawn at 4K. The extra detail comes from the enlargement, which is why a clean take enlarges better than a soft one. Tiers here are 1080p, 2k and 4k, defaulting to 1080p; there is no 480p or 720p, and for those sizes use Wan 3.0.

What is the difference between Wan 3.0 and Wan 3.0 Pro?

Which sizes you can ask for. Wan 3.0 renders natively at 480p, 720p or 1080p. Wan 3.0 Pro drops those two smaller tiers and delivers 1080p, 2K or 4K, with everything above 1080p enlarged from the native render. Both accept image, video and audio references on reference-to-video, and clip length, 2 to 30 seconds, is the same.

Does it generate audio?

Yes, in the same pass and on by default, so one file arrives with sound already aligned to picture. Set generate_audio to false when the spot will be scored separately.

Why is my prompt being rewritten?

enable_prompt_expansion defaults to true on this family. It helps thin briefs and fights detailed ones. Set it to false once your prompt is a precise shot description.

Can I supply a first and last frame?

Yes, on image-to-video: image_url opens the shot and last_image_url is an optional closing frame. Pinning both ends is how a product returns to its hero angle inside five seconds.

What are the limits of the Wan 3.0 Pro API?

Clip length: 2–30 s; Resolutions: 1080p · 2K · 4K; Aspect ratios: 16:9 · 4:3 · 1:1 · 3:4 · 9:16 · adaptive; Prompt length (characters): 20,000. Requests outside these limits are rejected before anything is charged.

Can I try Wan 3.0 Pro without writing code?

Yes. The Playground runs Wan 3.0 Pro on your PopNow credits, needs no API key, and shows the matching code for every run.

All Wan models

Wan 3.0 renders natively at 480p, 720p or 1080p for much less. Choose Pro only when the deliverable needs 2K or 4K.
