FLUX.2 [pro] Edit runs Black Forest Labs' FLUX.2 [pro] on images you already have. It accepts one to three sources, applies the change you describe, and returns 1k or 2k in the source shape or one of nine shapes.

Multi-reference composites

Combine a person, a product and a place from separate photos. In our headphone ad the face, hair and cardigan and the headphones' design stayed as in the sources.

API quick start

Call the FLUX.2 Pro API in three steps

  1. Create an API key. Sign in to PopNow and create a key in the API console. Keys start with sk-popnow- and use the same credits as the website.
  2. Send the request. POST /jobs/createTask with model black-forest-labs/flux-2-pro/edit and an input object that follows the parameter table. The response returns a task ID straight away.
  3. Get the result. Poll GET /jobs/recordInfo with the task ID, or pass a callBackUrl and we post the result to it. Download the output links when the task succeeds.

What is FLUX.2 [pro]?

It is the production-grade model in Black Forest Labs' second FLUX generation, released on 25 November 2025, built to balance quality and speed. Black Forest Labs sped it up roughly twofold in March 2026.

Can it write text into images?

Yes. Our poster test quoted a headline and a small line and both came back spelled exactly as written, in the typeface style the prompt described. Quote the words and say where they sit.

Does it follow colour codes?

Yes. Hex codes written in the prompt steer the palette. In our poster test a dusk teal and a copper horizon band came out in the tones we specified.

How many reference images can I use?

One to three in an edit. Say what each one contributes: image 1 is the person, image 2 the product, image 3 the place.

Does the seed repeat an image?

A fixed seed is for comparing prompts side by side; it does not promise an identical result.

What are the limits of the FLUX.2 Pro API?

Resolutions: 1K · 2K; Aspect ratios: auto · 1:1 · 16:9 · 9:16 · 4:3 · 3:4 +4; Reference images: 3; Prompt length (characters): 5,000; Largest upload: 10 MB. Requests outside these limits are rejected before anything is charged.
