What is Video VFX?
Video VFX adds something that was never there to a clip you filmed: a monster on the skyline, a dragon over the sea, a mothership above the desert, a storm on the horizon. The new element is lit to match your scene and moves with your camera, so it looks shot in place.
Everything else stays as you filmed it: the camera move, the people and their faces, the timing, the framing and the light. Video Swap replaces something that is already in a video; Video VFX adds what is missing.
How to add VFX to a video
- Add your videoOpen Ghost Behind You; the effect is already selected.
- Pick an effectAdd your own video, 3 to 15 seconds.
- Add VFXPress Add VFX and compare your footage with the result.
Why add VFX here
- Your shot stays yours. Camera motion, people, faces and timing come straight from your footage.
- Tracked and relit. The effect follows the camera and picks up the color of your light.
- Bring your own monster. Describe any effect and add a picture of the creature, vehicle or product you want in the shot.
- Price first. Lite costs a few cents a second and the exact total is on the button before you start.
What people make
- Scroll-stoppers Turn a normal street walk or balcony view into a clip people watch twice.
- Halloween and holidays Add a ghost behind you, a blizzard or a fireworks show for seasonal posts.
- Music videos and shorts Give a cheap location a sci-fi or fantasy skyline without a VFX budget.
- Product moments Fly your product over a real scene with a reference image.
Tips
- Leave some open sky or background: effects need room to appear.
- A steady or slowly moving camera tracks best; fast whip pans can drift.
- Effects that sit far away (skylines, horizons) look the most convincing.
- Trim to the moment you need: you pay for the seconds of your clip.
Use it responsibly
Only upload footage you filmed or have permission to use. Don't stage fake disasters, real attacks or news-style damage to real places, and don't present VFX shots as real events. People in your clip stay as they are: Video VFX never changes who someone is.
Price
Lite (MiniMax H3 Edit) costs about 300 credits for a 5-second clip: your clip's seconds and the output's seconds are both counted. Pro (Kling O3) costs about 626 credits for 5 seconds and keeps your original sound. The exact total is on the button before you start, and failed runs are refunded.
