Key features

Plans before it draws

The model works out the layout first, so prompts that describe where each element sits, or that quote several lines of text, come back arranged as written. In our cover test every quoted line landed where the prompt put it.

Request parameters

ParameterRequiredDescription
promptYesDescribe the image you want.
resolutionNoOutput size. Bigger sizes look sharper and cost more. 1k · 2k · 4k · Default: 1k
aspect_ratioNoThe shape of the frame: wide, square or tall. 1:1 · 3:2 · 2:3 · 3:4 · 4:3 · 4:5 · 5:4 · 9:16 · 16:9 · 21:9 · Default: 16:9

Pricing

Prices are in credits, the same credits you use on the website (1 credit = $0.01). The hold is taken when the task is accepted and settled to the actual charge when it finishes; failed tasks are refunded.

OptionCredits per image≈ USD
resolution 1K16.08$0.16
resolution 2K16.08$0.16
resolution 4K28.8$0.29

Each task is rounded up to whole credits, so one run at the lowest tier costs 17 credits per image ($0.17).

For an exact number before you run, send the same body to POST /jobs/quote.

Use cases

Editorial and brand portraits

Portraits that follow a named lens, aperture and light, for pitch decks, mood boards and campaign drafts.

Layouts with text

Posters, covers, menus and signage where several pieces of text share the frame with an image and each must be spelled right.

Diagrams and infographics

Labelled diagrams, simple charts and step-by-step visuals, where the reasoning step helps keep each label attached to the right part.

Prompt guide & pro tips

Write it like a shot list

Subject, wardrobe, setting, lens, aperture, light direction and grade, in that order, as full sentences.

Quote and position all text

Every word that must appear goes in quotes with a position; unquoted words are treated as description.

Be literal about the camera

An 85mm lens at f/1.4 with window light from the right is followed literally; vague words such as cinematic leave the choice to the model.

Describe people by what they wear and do

Pose, clothing, expression and where each person stands give the planning step enough to place everyone correctly.

API quick start

Call the Nano Banana Pro API in three steps

  1. Create an API key. Sign in to PopNow and create a key in the API console. Keys start with sk-popnow- and use the same credits as the website.
  2. Send the request. POST /jobs/createTask with model google/nano-banana-pro/text-to-image and an input object that follows the parameter table. The response returns a task ID straight away.
  3. Get the result. Poll GET /jobs/recordInfo with the task ID, or pass a callBackUrl and we post the result to it. Download the output links when the task succeeds.
# 1. Create the task. Keep the Idempotency-Key if you retry after a network error.
export IDEMPOTENCY_KEY="$(uuidgen)"
curl -X POST https://api.popnow.ai/api/v1/jobs/createTask \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $POPNOW_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "Idempotency-Key: $IDEMPOTENCY_KEY" \
  -d '{
  "model": "google/nano-banana-pro/text-to-image",
  "input": {
    "prompt": "A ceramic teapot on a linen cloth, soft window light, muted palette",
    "aspect_ratio": "16:9",
    "resolution": "1k"
  }
}'

# 2. Copy data.taskId from the response, then poll until state is succeeded, failed, canceled or expired.
TASK_ID="TASK_ID_FROM_RESPONSE"
curl "https://api.popnow.ai/api/v1/jobs/recordInfo?taskId=$TASK_ID" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $POPNOW_API_KEY"

Replace the prompt and any links with your own. The API tab has the response, polling and callback reference.
