Introduction

Kling 3.0 Turbo Image to video takes an opening frame and a prompt describing what happens next, and returns a clip of 3 to 15 whole seconds with sound generated to match. The frame anchors the whole shot: Kling 3.0 Turbo keeps the person, the outfit and the setting from your image and invents the motion, the camera and the audio.

Key features

The opening frame anchors the whole clip

In our tests the first frame's face and outfit carried through every clip: a first-person hand-hold through a night market kept the same partner's face for the full run, and a couple on a scooter kept their jackets and the bike's color from the first frame to the last. Write only what happens after the frame.

Sound arrives synced to the motion

There is no aspect_ratio field on this endpoint - the clip's frame shape follows your source image, so crop it to the shape you want before you upload. Sound always renders and, in our tests, matched the visible action: engine noise and wind on the scooter clip, market chatter and a called-out line on the night-market clip.

Use cases

Turning an approved still into a moving, scored beat

Animate a character, product or location you've already locked in a still, instead of describing the whole scene from nothing, when the exact look has to be precise.

POV clips that start with a single frame

A first-person opening frame plus a short prompt about the action is enough for a first-person tracking shot with dialogue and ambient sound that matches it. Our night-market test kept the same partner's face through a hand-held walk, with market chatter and a called-out line arriving synced to the motion.

Bringing a couple or duo shot to life

A still of two people - on a bike, at a table, walking together - holds both faces and outfits while the prompt supplies what they do and say next, which is faster than re-describing two people from a blank prompt in text-to-video.

Prompt guide & pro tips

Describe the next beat, not the whole scene

Since the frame already sets the look, the prompt only needs the motion, the camera and the sound: what the subject does next, how the camera follows, and - because audio always generates - the dialogue or ambient sound you want. Re-describing the outfit, the vehicle or the setting the frame already shows just wastes words the model could spend on the action.

Crop before you upload

There is no field to choose an aspect ratio here: the output takes the shape of your source image. Crop to 16:9, 9:16 or square before you upload if the frame shape matters to you.

Name a sound source that's actually in frame

In our tests, audio tied to something visible - an engine, wind, market chatter - rendered more consistently than a generic mood cue. If the frame shows a scooter or a crowd, name the sound that scene would actually make rather than describing an ambience with nothing on screen to produce it.

API quick start

Call the Kling 3.0 Turbo API in three steps

  1. Create an API key. Sign in to PopNow and create a key in the API console. Keys start with sk-popnow- and use the same credits as the website.
  2. Send the request. POST /jobs/createTask with model kling/3.0-turbo/image-to-video and an input object that follows the parameter table. The response returns a task ID straight away.
  3. Get the result. Poll GET /jobs/recordInfo with the task ID, or pass a callBackUrl and we post the result to it. Download the output links when the task succeeds.
# 1. Create the task. Keep the Idempotency-Key if you retry after a network error.
export IDEMPOTENCY_KEY="$(uuidgen)"
curl -X POST https://api.popnow.ai/api/v1/jobs/createTask \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $POPNOW_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "Idempotency-Key: $IDEMPOTENCY_KEY" \
  -d '{
  "model": "kling/3.0-turbo/image-to-video",
  "input": {
    "prompt": "A slow aerial shot drifting over a misty pine forest at sunrise",
    "image_url": "https://media.popnow.ai/influencer/examples/marco.webp",
    "resolution": "720p",
    "duration_seconds": 5
  }
}'

# 2. Copy data.taskId from the response, then poll until state is succeeded, failed, canceled or expired.
TASK_ID="TASK_ID_FROM_RESPONSE"
curl "https://api.popnow.ai/api/v1/jobs/recordInfo?taskId=$TASK_ID" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $POPNOW_API_KEY"

Replace the prompt and any links with your own. The API tab has the response, polling and callback reference.

Kling 3.0 Turbo API questions

How much does the Kling 3.0 Turbo API cost?

Kling 3.0 Turbo starts at 84 credits ($0.84) for a 5-second clip with Image to Video, its cheapest task. Prices by option: 720p 16.8 credits per second, 1080p 21 credits per second. Credits are the same as on the website (1 credit = $0.01), new accounts get 30 free credits, and failed tasks are refunded.

What is the model name for Kling 3.0 Turbo in the API?

Put kling/3.0-turbo/text-to-video for Create Video; kling/3.0-turbo/image-to-video for Image to Video in the model field of POST /jobs/createTask.

What's the difference between Kling 3.0 Turbo and Kling 3.0?

Turbo is single-shot only, on text-to-video and image-to-video, always with sound, up to 1080p. Kling 3.0 adds first-and-last-frame control, Motion Control and 4K, and makes sound an option rather than a given.

Can I turn the sound off?

No. Every clip from Kling 3.0 Turbo renders with generated audio; there is no field to switch it off. If you want a silent 1080p clip, use Kling 2.5 Turbo instead.

Am I charged if my request is rejected or fails?

No. If a request is rejected or the generation fails, the amount held for it goes back to your balance.

How fast does it render?

In our tests, clips mostly came back in one to three minutes. Rejections at the prompt or image stage return faster, usually well under a minute.

Should I start from text or from an image?

Use text-to-video when you have no reference image to work from. Use image-to-video when you already have the exact character, outfit or location locked in a still and only need to describe what happens next.

What are the limits of the Kling 3.0 Turbo API?

Clip length: 3–15 s; Resolutions: 720p · 1080p; Prompt length (characters): 2,500; Largest upload: 10 MB. Requests outside these limits are rejected before anything is charged.

Can I try Kling 3.0 Turbo without writing code?

Yes. The Playground runs Kling 3.0 Turbo on your PopNow credits, needs no API key, and shows the matching code for every run.
