Key features

Sound is not optional, and that's the point

Every clip that comes off this endpoint carries a generated soundtrack: dialogue you put in quotes renders as spoken lines, and any ambient sound you name - music, footsteps, traffic - comes back mixed with the picture. In our tests, spoken lines matched the prompt word for word on every clip we ran. There is no field to turn audio off; for a silent 1080p clip, use Kling 2.5 Turbo instead.

One continuous take, no shot-cutting field

This endpoint has no multi-shot setting, so every clip plays as a single unbroken take. Write one clear action from start to finish - a dance, a sprint and a jump, a turn toward camera - rather than several beats you want stitched together.

Use cases

Dialogue scenes for shorts and reels

Two people talking, laughing or trading a line works well here, since the audio comes back synced to the picture instead of dubbed on afterward. A kitchen scene we tested had the spoken line, the background music and the sound of a pot bubbling all arrive in the same file, with no separate audio pass needed before posting.

Action and movement clips with matching sound

Parkour, dance and other physical action come with footsteps, impacts and breathing built into the same file as the motion, with no separate foley pass to add.

Quick turnaround social clips that need sound from the start

Because audio is generated in the same pass as the picture, this endpoint suits any short clip destined straight for a feed or a reel, where waiting for a separate sound-design step would slow down the post.

Prompt guide & pro tips

Write the shot in the order it happens

Structure the prompt as subject, action, camera, then sound. The kitchen-salsa prompt is a workable template: who's dancing and what they're wearing, what they do (spins, bumps the counter), the camera (medium shot, gentle handheld), then the sound (music, laughter, the pot bubbling).

Match the sound to the action, not just the mood

Name sounds that are caused by something in frame - footsteps on concrete, a bubbling pot, a scooter engine - rather than a generic mood track. In our tests, sound tied to a visible action rendered more consistently in sync with the picture than an ambient cue with nothing in frame to produce it.

API quick start

# 1. Create the task. Keep the Idempotency-Key if you retry after a network error.
export IDEMPOTENCY_KEY="$(uuidgen)"
curl -X POST https://api.popnow.ai/api/v1/jobs/createTask \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $POPNOW_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "Idempotency-Key: $IDEMPOTENCY_KEY" \

    "aspect_ratio": "16:9",
    "resolution": "720p",
    "duration_seconds": 5
  }
}'

# 2. Copy data.taskId from the response, then poll until state is succeeded, failed, canceled or expired.
TASK_ID="TASK_ID_FROM_RESPONSE"
curl "https://api.popnow.ai/api/v1/jobs/recordInfo?taskId=$TASK_ID" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $POPNOW_API_KEY"

Replace the prompt and any links with your own. The API tab has the response, polling and callback reference.

Kling 3.0 Turbo API questions

How much does the Kling 3.0 Turbo API cost?

Kling 3.0 Turbo starts at 84 credits ($0.84) for a 5-second clip with Create Video, its cheapest task. Prices by option: 720p 16.8 credits per second, 1080p 21 credits per second. Credits are the same as on the website (1 credit = $0.01), new accounts get 30 free credits, and failed tasks are refunded.

What is the model name for Kling 3.0 Turbo in the API?

Put kling/3.0-turbo/text-to-video for Create Video; kling/3.0-turbo/image-to-video for Image to Video in the model field of POST /jobs/createTask.

What's the difference between Kling 3.0 Turbo and Kling 3.0?

Turbo is single-shot only, on text-to-video and image-to-video, always with sound, up to 1080p. Kling 3.0 adds first-and-last-frame control, Motion Control and 4K, and makes sound an option rather than a given.

Can I turn the sound off?

No. Every clip from Kling 3.0 Turbo renders with generated audio; there is no field to switch it off. If you want a silent 1080p clip, use Kling 2.5 Turbo instead.

Am I charged if my request is rejected or fails?

No. If a request is rejected or the generation fails, the amount held for it goes back to your balance.

How fast does it render?

In our tests, clips mostly came back in one to three minutes. Rejections at the prompt or image stage return faster, usually well under a minute.

Should I start from text or from an image?

Use text-to-video when you have no reference image to work from. Use image-to-video when you already have the exact character, outfit or location locked in a still and only need to describe what happens next.

What are the limits of the Kling 3.0 Turbo API?

Clip length: 3–15 s; Resolutions: 720p · 1080p; Aspect ratios: 16:9 · 9:16 · 1:1; Prompt length (characters): 2,500. Requests outside these limits are rejected before anything is charged.

Can I try Kling 3.0 Turbo without writing code?

Yes. The Playground runs Kling 3.0 Turbo on your PopNow credits, needs no API key, and shows the matching code for every run.
