Questions

Are these real products?

No. Items are generic, with no brands or logos, and the video makes no claims about what they do.

Can I pick the theme?

Yes. Type anything: retro gadgets, desk toys, baking tools, travel snacks.

How long is it?

About 14 seconds for 3 items or 20 seconds for 4.

Can I use my own photos of a real box?

No. This format generates its own box and items from your text. If you want to animate your own photo, try the image to video tool instead.

Why did I get 3 items instead of 4?

The format uses either 3 or 4 items. The length changes with it, about 14 seconds for 3 items or 20 seconds for 4. The plan decides which one fits your theme.

Can I change the score or the reactions?

The scores and reactions are written by the script step. If you don't like them, change your theme wording and generate again, since the plan is rebuilt each time.

Is the video suitable for posting on social media?

It is made as a short vertical-style clip with captions and music, which suits short-form feeds. Watch it through first to make sure the items and wording are what you want to share.

What happens if a shot fails?

Failed shots are refunded, so you are only charged for the shots that work. You can try again with the same or a slightly changed theme.

Before and after: what changes

This format has no photo to upload. You start with a theme in the text box, or leave it blank for the example, and the tool turns it into a short vertical video that opens on a closed box and reveals 3 or 4 items.

What changes
A single line of text becomes a full scripted video. It gets generated images of the box and each item, a voiceover, word-by-word captions, name tags, emoji stickers and score stamps.
What stays the same
The structure never changes. The video opens on the closed box, each item pops out with a flash, and the best surprise always comes last. Only the theme and the items change.
What to look at when you compare
Compare your theme with the items you got. Check that the name tags match the pictures, the spoken reaction matches the score stamp, and the last item feels like the best one.

Themes that work, and themes that don't

Works well

  • A clear theme of a few words, such as retro gadgets, desk toys or baking tools, gives the items a consistent look.
  • Everyday objects that are easy to picture, like travel snacks, produce clean and recognizable item images.
  • A theme that suits a fun surprise, such as a mix of small gifts, gives the voiceover natural things to react to.

Avoid

  • A brand or product name, because the items are generic and the video shows no real logos.
  • A long, complicated paragraph, because the plan only fits 3 or 4 items and extra detail gets lost.
  • Anything that needs a specific claim, such as a medical or performance benefit, because the video makes no claims about what items do.

Step by step

  1. Pick the formatOpen the Mystery Box Unboxing page from the All formats list. The three tabs, Pick a format, Make it yours and Get your video, show where you are in the process.
  2. Describe what's in the boxType a theme into the field labeled What's in the mystery box? Keep it short and concrete. If you leave it blank, the tool makes its own example, which is a good way to see how the format works first.
  3. Check the options and the priceOpen More options if you want to adjust anything. Then look at the Make it button, which shows about 9 credits. The price is charged per shot, and failed shots are refunded.
  4. Generate the videoPress Make it and wait while the script, images, voiceover and captions are built. The costs listed under What you pay for show which parts you are paying for.
  5. Review the resultWatch it once with sound and once without. Check that the captions are readable, the name tags match the items and the last item feels like the best. If it is off, change your theme wording and try again.

How the video is put together

Script & plan
The tool first writes a short script and picks the items, with the best surprise placed last. This is the smallest cost, about 2 credits.
Images
The closed box and the 3 or 4 generic items are generated as pictures. This is the biggest part of the price, about 5 credits.
Voiceover and captions
A voiceover reads the reactions, and word-by-word captions follow it. Each costs about 1 credit.
Drawn overlays and music
Name tags, emoji stickers and score stamps are drawn in code. The upbeat track comes from the music library at no extra cost.
