Introduction
Z-Image Turbo LoRA Text to image makes one image from a written prompt on Alibaba's Z-Image Turbo, a 6-billion-parameter model distilled to eight sampling steps, with up to three of your own LoRA files loaded.

Key features
Eight steps, seconds per image
Z-Image Turbo is distilled to eight sampling steps. In our runs the model took roughly three to ten seconds per image, which makes it practical for testing LoRA scales and prompts in quick loops.
A large library of community LoRAs
Pass the direct file link and a scale; nothing is uploaded to us in advance.
Request parameters
| Parameter | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
aspect_ratio | No | The shape of the frame: wide, square or tall. 1:1 · 16:9 · 9:16 · 4:3 · 3:4 · 3:2 · 2:3 · 21:9 · 9:21 · Default: 1:1 |
loras | No | Load your own LoRA files to lock in a style or character. Default: [] |
output_format | No | File type of the result. jpeg · png · webp · Default: jpeg |
prompt | Yes | Describe the subject, composition and lighting. If a LoRA has a trigger word, put it first. |
seed | No | Reuse the same number to get a repeatable result. ≥ 0 · ≤ 2147483647 |
Pricing
Prices are in credits, the same credits you use on the website (1 credit = $0.01). The hold is taken when the task is accepted and settled to the actual charge when it finishes; failed tasks are refunded.
| Option | Credits per image | ≈ USD |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | 1.8 | $0.018 |
Each task is rounded up to whole credits, so one run at the lowest tier costs 2 credits per image ($0.02).
For an exact number before you run, send the same body to POST /jobs/quote.
Use cases
Character sheets
Keep a character LoRA and a seed fixed and change only the outfit, place and light between prompts. The face and build stay recognisable across the whole set, which is what a sheet needs.
Prompt guide & pro tips
Trigger word first
Most Z-Image Turbo LoRAs are trained with a trigger such as "Realism" or "Pixel art style". Put it at the very start, then describe the scene in plain sentences: who is in the frame, what they wear, where they are and what time of day it is.
Describe light, not adjectives
Name the light source, its direction and its colour: rain on the window, a warm lamp on the face, neon behind. Concrete lighting lands better than words like "cinematic", and it is the fastest way to make a realism LoRA look like a photograph.
Change one scale at a time
When stacking LoRAs, fix the seed and move one scale by about 0.2 at a time. Two style LoRAs at full strength usually fight; start the second one around 0.5 and raise it until its look appears without swallowing the first.
Draft in the shape you will publish
Pick the aspect ratio before you iterate.
API quick start
Call the Z-Image Turbo LoRA API in three steps
- Create an API key. Sign in to PopNow and create a key in the API console. Keys start with sk-popnow- and use the same credits as the website.
- Send the request. POST /jobs/createTask with model alibaba/z-image-turbo-lora/text-to-image and an input object that follows the parameter table. The response returns a task ID straight away.
- Get the result. Poll GET /jobs/recordInfo with the task ID, or pass a callBackUrl and we post the result to it. Download the output links when the task succeeds.
# 1. Create the task. Keep the Idempotency-Key if you retry after a network error.
export IDEMPOTENCY_KEY="$(uuidgen)"
curl -X POST https://api.popnow.ai/api/v1/jobs/createTask \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $POPNOW_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-H "Idempotency-Key: $IDEMPOTENCY_KEY" \
-d '{
"model": "alibaba/z-image-turbo-lora/text-to-image",
"input": {
"prompt": "A ceramic teapot on a linen cloth, soft window light, muted palette",
"aspect_ratio": "1:1",
"output_format": "jpeg"
}
}'
# 2. Copy data.taskId from the response, then poll until state is succeeded, failed, canceled or expired.
TASK_ID="TASK_ID_FROM_RESPONSE"
curl "https://api.popnow.ai/api/v1/jobs/recordInfo?taskId=$TASK_ID" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $POPNOW_API_KEY"Replace the prompt and any links with your own. The API tab has the response, polling and callback reference.
Z-Image Turbo LoRA API questions
How much does the Z-Image Turbo LoRA API cost?
Z-Image Turbo LoRA starts at 2 credits ($0.02) per image with Create Image, its cheapest task. Credits are the same as on the website (1 credit = $0.01), new accounts get 30 free credits, and failed tasks are refunded.
What is the model name for Z-Image Turbo LoRA in the API?
Put alibaba/z-image-turbo-lora/text-to-image for Create Image; alibaba/z-image-turbo-lora/edit for Edit Image in the model field of POST /jobs/createTask.
Which LoRAs work here?
Files trained for Z-Image Turbo. Hugging Face lists hundreds of them; pass the direct download link to the .safetensors file. LoRAs made for FLUX, SDXL or Qwen-Image will not transfer.
What does strength do on image-to-image?
It sets how far the result may move from the source. The default 0.8 keeps layout and pose while changing the style; at 0.6 the change is subtle; values near 1 treat the source as a loose guide.
Can I stack several LoRAs?
Yes, up to three per request, each with its own scale. Start additional LoRAs around 0.5; two style LoRAs at full strength usually compete.
What are the limits of the Z-Image Turbo LoRA API?
Aspect ratios: 1:1 · 16:9 · 9:16 · 4:3 · 3:4 · 3:2 +3; Prompt length (characters): 5,000. Requests outside these limits are rejected before anything is charged.
Can I try Z-Image Turbo LoRA without writing code?
Yes. The Playground runs Z-Image Turbo LoRA on your PopNow credits, needs no API key, and shows the matching code for every run.
