Introduction
Kling 2.5 Turbo Image to video animates an opening frame into a 5 or 10 second clip at 1080p, with a real audio track generated in the same pass. Add an optional closing frame (last_image_url) to pin the ending; the output aspect ratio follows whatever frame you send in, both JPEG or PNG only.

Key features
An optional closing frame
last_image_url is not required, but when it's set the clip is built to land on that exact frame instead of wherever the model decides to stop. Nothing pins the middle of the clip, so keep the two frames close in light, pose and framing for the smoothest result.
Sound arrives with the picture
The audio track is generated in the same pass as the video - there is no field to mute it. Write what the scene should sound like in the prompt, the same place you write the action.
Request parameters
| Parameter | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
duration_seconds | No | How long the clip runs. You pay per second. 5 · 10 · Default: 5 |
guidance_scale | No | How strictly the model follows the prompt. ≥ 0 · ≤ 1 · Default: 0.5 |
image_url | Yes | The picture to start from. |
last_image_url | No | Optional final frame, so the clip ends exactly where you want. |
negative_prompt | No | Things you don't want to see. |
prompt | Yes | Describe what happens after the opening frame: the action, the camera. |
Pricing
Prices are in credits, the same credits you use on the website (1 credit = $0.01). The hold is taken when the task is accepted and settled to the actual charge when it finishes; failed tasks are refunded.
| Option | Credits per second | ≈ USD |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | 8.4 | $0.084 |
For an exact number before you run, send the same body to POST /jobs/quote.
Use cases
Bring an approved frame to life
Start from a still you already like - a portrait, a product shot, a piece of concept art - and describe only what happens next; the frame itself doesn't change.
Chain frame to frame across a longer scene
Send the last frame of one approved clip as the opening frame of the next, and use last_image_url on this new clip to land on a specific pose - useful for stringing several 5 or 10 second clips into one continuous scene.
Prompt guide & pro tips
Describe only what changes
The opening frame already sets the subject, wardrobe and setting - the prompt only needs to say what happens next: the action, the camera move, and what it sounds like.
Keep two frames close when using last_image_url
A closing frame that differs wildly in pose, light or framing from the opening frame gives the model more work to reconcile in the space between, and the middle can wander on a 10-second clip. Keep both frames close and let the prompt carry the motion between them.
Write the sound in the same sentence as the motion
Because audio is generated alongside the picture on every clip, describe what a movement sounds like right where you describe the movement itself - footsteps, fabric, wind, distant crowd noise - rather than treating sound as an afterthought at the end of the prompt.
API quick start
Call the Kling 2.5 Turbo API in three steps
- Create an API key. Sign in to PopNow and create a key in the API console. Keys start with sk-popnow- and use the same credits as the website.
- Send the request. POST /jobs/createTask with model kling/2.5-turbo/image-to-video and an input object that follows the parameter table. The response returns a task ID straight away.
- Get the result. Poll GET /jobs/recordInfo with the task ID, or pass a callBackUrl and we post the result to it. Download the output links when the task succeeds.
# 1. Create the task. Keep the Idempotency-Key if you retry after a network error.
export IDEMPOTENCY_KEY="$(uuidgen)"
curl -X POST https://api.popnow.ai/api/v1/jobs/createTask \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $POPNOW_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-H "Idempotency-Key: $IDEMPOTENCY_KEY" \
-d '{
"model": "kling/2.5-turbo/image-to-video",
"input": {
"prompt": "A slow aerial shot drifting over a misty pine forest at sunrise",
"image_url": "https://media.popnow.ai/influencer/examples/marco.webp",
"duration_seconds": 5
}
}'
# 2. Copy data.taskId from the response, then poll until state is succeeded, failed, canceled or expired.
TASK_ID="TASK_ID_FROM_RESPONSE"
curl "https://api.popnow.ai/api/v1/jobs/recordInfo?taskId=$TASK_ID" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $POPNOW_API_KEY"Replace the prompt and any links with your own. The API tab has the response, polling and callback reference.
Kling 2.5 Turbo API questions
How much does the Kling 2.5 Turbo API cost?
Kling 2.5 Turbo starts at 42 credits ($0.42) for a 5-second clip with Image to Video, its cheapest task. Credits are the same as on the website (1 credit = $0.01), new accounts get 30 free credits, and failed tasks are refunded.
What is the model name for Kling 2.5 Turbo in the API?
Put kling/2.5-turbo/text-to-video for Create Video; kling/2.5-turbo/image-to-video for Image to Video in the model field of POST /jobs/createTask.
How long does a clip take to render?
Typically a few minutes. It's an asynchronous task: you poll for the result or receive it on a webhook.
Why does every clip have sound if there's no audio toggle?
Kling 2.5 Turbo generates an audio track in the same pass as the picture on every clip - there's no field to switch it off. Write what the scene should sound like in the prompt, the same place you write the action.
What are the limits of the Kling 2.5 Turbo API?
Clip length: 5–10 s; Prompt length (characters): 2,500; Largest upload: 10 MB. Requests outside these limits are rejected before anything is charged.
Can I try Kling 2.5 Turbo without writing code?
Yes. The Playground runs Kling 2.5 Turbo on your PopNow credits, needs no API key, and shows the matching code for every run.
