FLUX.1 Krea Dev LoRA runs FLUX.1 Krea [dev], the 12-billion-parameter open-weights version of Krea 1 released by Black Forest Labs and Krea, with up to three of your own LoRA files per request. It shares the FLUX.1 [dev] architecture, so FLUX.1 [dev] LoRAs load on it.

Call it with the model name black-forest-labs/flux-1-krea-dev-lora/text-to-image on POST /jobs/createTask, from 4 credits per image ($0.04). New accounts get 30 free credits to try it in the Playground first.

Introduction

FLUX.1 Krea Dev LoRA Text to image draws one image from a written prompt on FLUX.1 Krea [dev], the open-weights version of Krea 1 that Black Forest Labs released with Krea, with up to three of your own LoRA files loaded. Krea [dev] is a 12-billion-parameter model tuned for photography that avoids the glossy, oversaturated "AI look", and it shares the FLUX.1 [dev] architecture, so LoRAs built for FLUX.1 [dev] load on it.

Key features

A photographic look by default

With no LoRA loaded, our test prompts came back with muted colour, real-looking skin, warm practical light and visible film grain. Ask for "film photograph" or "35mm film still" and that is what you get, without stacking style words.

FLUX.1 [dev] LoRAs load here

Up to three LoRAs per request, each with a scale from 0 to 4.

Style LoRAs need a higher scale

Krea's own look is strong. A cartoon LoRA that works at 1.2 on FLUX.1 [dev] still came back photographic here.

Request parameters

ParameterRequiredDescription
aspect_ratioNoThe shape of the frame: wide, square or tall. 1:1 · 16:9 · 9:16 · 4:3 · 3:4 · 3:2 · 2:3 · 21:9 · 9:21 · Default: 1:1
guidance_scaleNoHow strictly the model follows the prompt. ≥ 0 · ≤ 20 · Default: 3.5
lorasNoLoad your own LoRA files to lock in a style or character. Default: []
output_formatNoFile type of the result. jpeg · png · webp · Default: jpeg
promptYesDescribe the subject, composition and lighting. If a LoRA has a trigger word, put it first.
seedNoReuse the same number to get a repeatable result. ≥ 0 · ≤ 2147483647

Pricing

Prices are in credits, the same credits you use on the website (1 credit = $0.01). The hold is taken when the task is accepted and settled to the actual charge when it finishes; failed tasks are refunded.

OptionCredits per image≈ USD
Standard3.6$0.036

Each task is rounded up to whole credits, so one run at the lowest tier costs 4 credits per image ($0.04).

For an exact number before you run, send the same body to POST /jobs/quote.

Use cases

Editorial and fashion stills

Night-time interiors, warm lamps, film grain and believable skin straight from a sentence prompt, in nine shapes from 21:9 to 9:21.

A house style for a set

Load one style LoRA at 1.5 to 2, keep its trigger phrase at the front and run a list of prompts. Every image in the set shares the look.

Your FLUX LoRAs on a more photographic base

If you already use FLUX.1 [dev] LoRAs, run them here to get the same subject or style with a quieter, more photographic finish.

Prompt guide & pro tips

Write it like a shot list

Subject, clothing, place, light source and lens, in sentences. Naming the light ("a brass desk lamp", "a string of warm bulbs") does more than adjectives such as "moody".

Start style LoRAs high

Begin at scale 1.5 for a style LoRA and compare with scale 0 on the same seed. If the two images match, the file did not apply; if the style is faint, go to 2.

Leave guidance near 3.5

Guidance runs from 0 to 20. In our tests 0 came back washed out and grainy, 1 softer, 7 harder and more contrasty, and 20 overcooked the shadows and changed the outfit.

Expect labels and logos

Like other FLUX models it sometimes prints small fake lettering on props such as headphones, sleeves and signs. Describe props as plain or unmarked, and try another seed if a logo appears.

API quick start

Call the FLUX.1 Krea Dev LoRA API in three steps

  1. Create an API key. Sign in to PopNow and create a key in the API console. Keys start with sk-popnow- and use the same credits as the website.
  2. Send the request. POST /jobs/createTask with model black-forest-labs/flux-1-krea-dev-lora/text-to-image and an input object that follows the parameter table. The response returns a task ID straight away.
  3. Get the result. Poll GET /jobs/recordInfo with the task ID, or pass a callBackUrl and we post the result to it. Download the output links when the task succeeds.
# 1. Create the task. Keep the Idempotency-Key if you retry after a network error.
export IDEMPOTENCY_KEY="$(uuidgen)"
curl -X POST https://api.popnow.ai/api/v1/jobs/createTask \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $POPNOW_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "Idempotency-Key: $IDEMPOTENCY_KEY" \
  -d '{
  "model": "black-forest-labs/flux-1-krea-dev-lora/text-to-image",
  "input": {
    "prompt": "A ceramic teapot on a linen cloth, soft window light, muted palette",
    "aspect_ratio": "1:1",
    "output_format": "jpeg"
  }
}'

# 2. Copy data.taskId from the response, then poll until state is succeeded, failed, canceled or expired.
TASK_ID="TASK_ID_FROM_RESPONSE"
curl "https://api.popnow.ai/api/v1/jobs/recordInfo?taskId=$TASK_ID" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $POPNOW_API_KEY"

Replace the prompt and any links with your own. The API tab has the response, polling and callback reference.

FLUX.1 Krea Dev LoRA API questions

How much does the FLUX.1 Krea Dev LoRA API cost?

FLUX.1 Krea Dev LoRA starts at 4 credits ($0.04) per image with Create Image, its cheapest task. Credits are the same as on the website (1 credit = $0.01), new accounts get 30 free credits, and failed tasks are refunded.

What is the model name for FLUX.1 Krea Dev LoRA in the API?

Put black-forest-labs/flux-1-krea-dev-lora/text-to-image for Create Image; black-forest-labs/flux-1-krea-dev-lora/edit for Edit Image in the model field of POST /jobs/createTask.

How is Krea [dev] different from FLUX.1 [dev]?

Same architecture and size, different training goal. Black Forest Labs and Krea tuned it for photography that avoids oversaturated textures, so it reads more like a film photograph by default. FLUX.1 [dev] LoRAs load on it, but style LoRAs need a higher scale to show through.

Which LoRAs work here?

LoRAs trained for FLUX.1 [dev] or FLUX.1 Krea [dev], passed as a direct link to the .safetensors file. In our tests an SDXL LoRA, and one realism LoRA saved in a different key format, ran without an error and changed nothing.

Can I use the images commercially?

Black Forest Labs' model card says outputs of FLUX.1 Krea [dev] can be used for personal, scientific and commercial purposes under its license. Check the license of each LoRA you load as well.

What are the limits of the FLUX.1 Krea Dev LoRA API?

Aspect ratios: 1:1 · 16:9 · 9:16 · 4:3 · 3:4 · 3:2 +3; Prompt length (characters): 5,000. Requests outside these limits are rejected before anything is charged.

Can I try FLUX.1 Krea Dev LoRA without writing code?

Yes. The Playground runs FLUX.1 Krea Dev LoRA on your PopNow credits, needs no API key, and shows the matching code for every run.

All FLUX models

FLUX.1 Dev LoRA applies style LoRAs at full strength without Krea's photographic bias.
