Introduction
FLUX.1 Dev LoRA Text to image makes one image from a written prompt on Black Forest Labs' FLUX.1 [dev], a 12-billion-parameter rectified flow transformer, with up to three of your own LoRA files loaded.

Key features
The biggest LoRA library in open image models
If you found a look you like, it is very likely a FLUX LoRA, and it runs here as a plain API call.
Guidance you can adjust
Guidance sets how strictly the image follows the prompt, from 0 to 20. The default 3.5 suits most LoRAs, and realism LoRAs often look more natural a little lower.
Request parameters
| Parameter | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
aspect_ratio | No | The shape of the frame: wide, square or tall. 1:1 · 16:9 · 9:16 · 4:3 · 3:4 · 3:2 · 2:3 · 21:9 · 9:21 · Default: 1:1 |
guidance_scale | No | How strictly the model follows the prompt. ≥ 0 · ≤ 20 · Default: 3.5 |
loras | No | Load your own LoRA files to lock in a style or character. Default: [] |
output_format | No | File type of the result. jpeg · png · webp · Default: jpeg |
prompt | Yes | Describe the subject, composition and lighting. If a LoRA has a trigger word, put it first. |
seed | No | Reuse the same number to get a repeatable result. ≥ 0 · ≤ 2147483647 |
steps | No | More steps add detail but take longer. ≥ 1 · ≤ 50 · Default: 28 |
Pricing
Prices are in credits, the same credits you use on the website (1 credit = $0.01). The hold is taken when the task is accepted and settled to the actual charge when it finishes; failed tasks are refunded.
| Option | Credits per image | ≈ USD |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | 2.7 | $0.027 |
Each task is rounded up to whole credits, so one run at the lowest tier costs 3 credits per image ($0.03).
For an exact number before you run, send the same body to POST /jobs/quote.
Use cases
Run a LoRA you found
Paste the download link, set the scale, add the trigger phrase to your prompt. No training, no hosting and no GPU: the LoRA you saw on a model hub becomes a plain API call.
Editorial and fashion stills
Realism and magazine LoRAs give believable light, fabric and skin for gowns, portraits and night scenes, ready for mood boards and campaign drafts.
Prompt guide & pro tips
Trigger first, then full sentences
FLUX reads long prompts well. Start with the trigger phrase from the LoRA's model card, then describe subject, setting, clothing and light in complete sentences rather than a list of tags.
Lower guidance for realism
If a realism LoRA looks waxy or over-sharpened, drop guidance from 3.5 towards 2.5 and compare with the same seed.
Raise weak styles one step at a time
When a style barely shows, raise its scale by 0.2. Our cartoon example needed 1.2. At high scales, check faces and hands closely; they are the first things to distort.
Keep text out of signs
FLUX tends to write words on any sign or screen in the frame, and they are often misspelled. Leave signs out of the prompt unless the exact wording matters.
API quick start
Call the FLUX.1 Dev LoRA API in three steps
- Create an API key. Sign in to PopNow and create a key in the API console. Keys start with sk-popnow- and use the same credits as the website.
- Send the request. POST /jobs/createTask with model black-forest-labs/flux-1-dev-lora/text-to-image and an input object that follows the parameter table. The response returns a task ID straight away.
- Get the result. Poll GET /jobs/recordInfo with the task ID, or pass a callBackUrl and we post the result to it. Download the output links when the task succeeds.
# 1. Create the task. Keep the Idempotency-Key if you retry after a network error.
export IDEMPOTENCY_KEY="$(uuidgen)"
curl -X POST https://api.popnow.ai/api/v1/jobs/createTask \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $POPNOW_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-H "Idempotency-Key: $IDEMPOTENCY_KEY" \
-d '{
"model": "black-forest-labs/flux-1-dev-lora/text-to-image",
"input": {
"prompt": "A ceramic teapot on a linen cloth, soft window light, muted palette",
"aspect_ratio": "1:1",
"output_format": "jpeg"
}
}'
# 2. Copy data.taskId from the response, then poll until state is succeeded, failed, canceled or expired.
TASK_ID="TASK_ID_FROM_RESPONSE"
curl "https://api.popnow.ai/api/v1/jobs/recordInfo?taskId=$TASK_ID" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $POPNOW_API_KEY"Replace the prompt and any links with your own. The API tab has the response, polling and callback reference.
FLUX.1 Dev LoRA API questions
How much does the FLUX.1 Dev LoRA API cost?
FLUX.1 Dev LoRA starts at 3 credits ($0.03) per image with Create Image, its cheapest task. Credits are the same as on the website (1 credit = $0.01), new accounts get 30 free credits, and failed tasks are refunded.
What is the model name for FLUX.1 Dev LoRA in the API?
Put black-forest-labs/flux-1-dev-lora/text-to-image for Create Image; black-forest-labs/flux-1-dev-lora/edit for Edit Image in the model field of POST /jobs/createTask.
Which LoRAs work here?
LoRAs trained for FLUX.1 [dev], which is the largest group of community image LoRAs. Pass a direct download link to the .safetensors file. SDXL, Z-Image or Qwen-Image LoRAs will not transfer.
Can I use the images commercially?
Black Forest Labs' FLUX.1 [dev] license lets you use generated images for personal, scientific and commercial purposes. The license of each LoRA you load is set by its author, so check its model card.
What does guidance do?
It sets how strictly the image follows the prompt. The default 3.5 suits most LoRAs; realism LoRAs often look more natural a little lower, around 2 to 3.
What are the limits of the FLUX.1 Dev LoRA API?
Aspect ratios: 1:1 · 16:9 · 9:16 · 4:3 · 3:4 · 3:2 +3; Prompt length (characters): 5,000. Requests outside these limits are rejected before anything is charged.
Can I try FLUX.1 Dev LoRA without writing code?
Yes. The Playground runs FLUX.1 Dev LoRA on your PopNow credits, needs no API key, and shows the matching code for every run.
